Character Meet and Greet~~ At Night

I. Main Street Usa!
It's twilight, edging to evening, and yet the streets are still alive with citizens and Apprentices (that means you!) alike. Take the time to admire the lights, pop in and out of the cafes or just relax in the garden.
Weapon shops and magic shops are open late into the evening this time of year, so feel free to enjoy yourself before you equip yourself for the life head.
II. Apprentice Training 101- Evening Class
Same commons behind the fire house, same weapons and wands available for practicing your skills-- though this time under the cozy street lights and the bright blues and tired purples of a fading summer twilight. Strike at the training dummy or try to catch fireflies with whispers, its all up to you.
III. Things that Go Bump
Are bumping. And they mean business. A few level 1 corroded monsters are scurrying around Main Street causing havoc and it's up to you to stop them. The question is, is it early in the evening or do you dare to face the creatures at the night's darkest hour?
IV. It's time to Sparkle!
Everyone has a spark of imagination. That is, in fact, why you're here! It's time to shine with your own scenario! Just try to keep from causing too much trouble.
Princess Leia Organa (5 and a half years old)- Star Wars
Leia sat on a bench in the garden, eating an ice cream bar and watching the people go by. It was a bit warmer here than it typically was in Aldera City, even at the height of summer, so walking around all day in the heat tended to tire her out. The ice cream bar was nice and cold and tasty though, and it was even a fun shape! Though she wondered what it was supposed to represent; she'd seen the same symbol- three circles stuck together in a particular way- a few other places around town, so it must mean something. She'd have to remember to ask later.
Right now, though, she was content to eat her ice cream and people watch. Though anybody who saw her might find it somewhat odd that such a young child was apparently there all by herself.
II. Evening Training 101
Leia had done her best to follow the instructions Mr. Dreamfinder had given, but still wasn't honestly sure what she was supposed to be doing. He'd said that Princesses could heal here, but there was no way to practice that unless somebody got hurt, which she hoped wouldn't happen. So what else could she do?
Well, he'd also said everything there worked by imagination, so maybe if she imagined something really hard? She closed her eyes, her expression becoming one of intense effort as she focused on imagining the first unusual thing that came to mind: a pink thranta with purple polka dots. Maybe that would do something?
IV: Time to Sparkle!
The Emporium might seem an unusual place to find a little girl on her own, but Leia wasn't quite a typical little girl. She walked along, scanning the shelves in the children's merchandise section before stopping at a display of colorful picture books. It didn't take long for one of them to catch her eye, but there was a bit of a complication to her choice. Namely, the fact that it was on a shelf higher than she could reach, and the way the display was arranged made climbing up on something to try and reach impossible.
Thus she looked around until she spotted someone a bit taller before going up and saying, "Excuse me, but could you help me for a minute?"

Eleanor Shellstrop | The Good Place
Eleanor frowned as she walked down the street, her hands stuffed in her pockets. This smelled wrong. Actually it smelled pretty amazing, but the place just felt wrong to her. She'd seen too many sides of The Bad Place... at least the ones she remembered... not to think that this was still some sort of trick. How could she trust anything here? It was all too weird.
Stopping, she sighed and wrapped her arms around her waist. She'd ditched the fake glasses but was still far to smartly dressed for her taste. Why the hell did Bad Place fashion have to be so... dated? Rolling her eyes in disgust, she finally turned to the nearest passerby "Hey are there any stores around here that sell clothes that don't look like kitschy tourist shit?"
II.
Eleanor waved her hands in front of her, taking a step back. There was too much and then there was too much and this was akin to asking her to marry Jason and move to Jacksonville to start a jazz club too much.
"Uh-uh. Magic? I don't think so. I don't know if you've noticed but I'm not some weird blue haired kid in a video game or whatever. Don't you have some twelve year old dweeb to ask to save the world? Amiright?" With the last word she elbowed the person next to her with a conspiratorial smirk just screaming for support in this.
IV.
It was late and Eleanor was currently yelling at the host outside the Red Wagon Restaurant. He was clearly refusing her entrance due to her atire - jeans and a hooded sweatshirt.
"C'mon, man! Who the fuck cares how I'm dressed? Just stick me in the kitchen, I don't care. Or better yet, why don't you just sneak a couple bottles of wine out the back for me?"
The host shook his head and she groaned, throwing her hands up, "What does a chick have to do to get a drink in this place?!"

Missy / Doctor Who
Missy had gotten all the information she could and still wasn't happy. As far as she could tell she'd gone from one prison to another but instead of the Doctor telling her what she could and couldn't do she had two idiots, one of whom had the nerve to call himself Merlin. It was utterly humiliating.
What was worse was the fact that she felt fairly weak, though she wasn't about to show it. She walked slowly, acting as if she were just seeing the sights, when she really couldn't walk much faster. The ache in her abdomen was maddening. But she'd never let that stop her.
Except when someone bumped into her (or she into them, who was keeping track) and she hissed in pain. "Watch where you're going you imbecile!"
III: Things that go Bump
She'd refused to go to the first day of training on principle. But she was intrigued about these so-called monsters. So she stood in the middle of the street, seemingly unarmed, eyes sharp as she watched them scurry. To the typical passer by she might look lost or frozen in fright, perhaps in need of rescuing. But she was hardly as helpless as she appeared.
IV: Sparkle and Shine
Not about to be beaten by the restrictions of this primitive Earth technology, Missy has raided every shop she can think of for parts to build... something. She was sitting at a table outside the ice cream parlor taking apart a radio. Strewn across the table were an array of items that seemed to have no relation to one another... and much of it seemed to be broken. She had no ice cream in front of her and all the other tables were taken. The staff wasn't happy about this but she'd made it very clear that she had no intention of moving. It made quite a sight in such an otherwise peaceful spot.

mami tomoe | madoka magica
What an unusual place this was. The dancing lights on every building reminded Mami of her hometown: bright and beautiful here, perhaps, but with a strange underbelly that could be dangerous. She could sit and ponder for a while, but she's more practical than that, so she already has a job!
Mami is your local balloon salesperson, cheerfully waving to children and charming adults as well. She's even waving one in front of you!
"You know, I've heard a legend that if you want to make a happy wish, a balloon's the way to do it. Want to try?"
apprentice training
As much as Mami would have loved to become a proper magician, she knows it's best to start with what she knows. And what she knows is the proper use of a flintlock musket. That's why she's already put six holes in the training dummy, promptly disassembling her musket to assess the wear and tear.
"Hm. I wonder if I can replace the spring with something stronger."
sparkling specialtea
Mami has always wished to forge partnerships, and as difficult as it was...maybe it won't be so impossible here. As a peace offering, she's put her first paycheck toward an afternoon tea.
She hasn't been able to afford that fancy floral tea set in the Emporium window, but she has a serviceable iron one, and the delicate cake on the center plate is coated with whipped cream and a perfect raspberry drizzle.
"I know it's not much, but would you like some tea and cake?"

Rosabella Beauty | Ever After High
Even despite how lively things had been during the day, there was something even more exciting about how everything was lighting up as the sun was setting. And since so many people were still out and about as well, Rosabella saw no problem in wandering around for a while longer.
Besides, there were so many places to explore. Cute little shops and restaurants, the Emporium, the music hall.
Although she couldn't help looking at the Cinema and Opera House and wonder why it was closed...
III. Things that Go Bump
Honestly, Rosabella isn't really sure what she could do against the corroded monsters. But she also couldn't just idly stand by while they were causing trouble. Besides, her Princess class meant that she could heal corrosion, right? So that meant that she must be able to do something.
It also didn't hurt to have a little help. Despite how dark it was, Rosabella had found an owl to help guide her to where the worst of things were.
Here was hoping she'd be able to help.
IV. Sparklized
With all the excitement going on, Rosabella hadn't had much of a chance to really examine the 3Ms that she'd been given. She was told that it was a way to communicate with others, and that was connected to a network, so that made her wonder...
After a bit more of fiddling with it, she smiled.
"Oh, okay...so it is like a MirrorPhone!"

no subject
Rose wonder about main street, cheeking out the shops and cafes. The place certainly has a festive atmosphere with the bustling people and lights. It reminds her of the busy market towns back in her home world.
She goes into one of the weapons shops to check to see what kind of swords they have. The wands are handy but she feels naked without a sword. She picks up a saber and checks the balance of it, to see if it will suit her needs.
Later, Rose goes to the garden to escape some of the crowds and for a bit of solitude.
II. Apprentice Training 101
Though Rose is quite skilled in combat, especially when it comes to using a sword. But using magic without her Dragoon Spirit and with a wand instead is completely new to her. So she is using the wand to strike at one of the dumbs from a distance. Her aim isn't exactly perfect, but she improves.
III. Things that Go Bump
When the monsters start to appear, Rose starts to feel more at home. Fighting such things is normal for her. She raises her sword into a guard position, waiting to see what the creatures will do.

Grey Murphy - Xanth - Canon point still not set. (Welcoming ALL face twin mix ups)
The young man hadn't been here all that long yet. He was still learning how this new world worked, and what might and might not be the same as any of the other worlds he knew. So he was taking in the sights, hands in his pockets. For those who didn't have reason to look at him twice he was just as bland as his name implied. He was completely forgettable in body. His driver's license listed his hair as "hair-colored" and his eyes as "neutral". And sure, the loose tunic shirt might draw attention from people from some worlds, paired with the blue jean like pants, but even the tunic was a bland brown. So he was fairly confident that unless he acted out, he could pass unnoticed through the crowds as he got a feel for this place. And for the most part... he was right.

Sora Naegino - Kaleido Star - Canon Point TBD (CW for injuries)
"Beautiful form," she murmured. "Slash across the neck, once and done." Easy. She was even on solid ground this time. No problem. Piece of cake. Centering herself she took a breath then MOVED. The point was heavier than she was used to and she hadn't accounted for that as well as she had thought. And her foot placement was off, expecting a rope. So instead of a lovely form and a simple but effective slash, she stumbled into the dummy, hitting it only with her body. She fell off and hit the ground, managing not to hurt herself or anyone else with the sword. "Ow..." she said, rubbing her head with her free hand where her forehead had smacked into the dummy. Or rather where the dummy had smacked into the training target...
II.II
Come dawn, she was still there, still working determinedly at it. Her hands were a bit blistered from the sword, since that made different lacclases than aerials or the diablo did. But think of how much better she'd be when she mastered it. She had moved her training target off to the side so as to not be in the morning class' way as she worked, shoes kicked away so that she could feel the ground under her feet. And she was getting better. She was hitting the dummy as often as she missed it, now, but the times she hit were never the perfect blow she wanted. The blade would get stuck or snag, or she'd hit the shoulder instead of the neck, or clip the chin. But she was keeping grimly at it, getting up every time she fell, seeming unaware that time was passing.
II.III
Evening class rolled around again. And the girl that many people were laughing at the night before was there already. In the same white shirt and coverall shorts over a leotard as the night before. Her shoes were off to one side, and there were bandages on her feet and hands. Her eyes no longer held a playful confidence but a grim determination. She rolled her shoulders back, readied herself and then launched herself at her target. Almost. ALMOST. So close.
She got back to her mark, and again, rolled her shoulders back, set her stance, then charged. This time her form was artistic, her strike true. She slid easily past the dummy, having opened its throat with a one handed hold on her blade. She blinked a few moments, realizing she was past, still on her feet, and still holding her sword. She skipped back to see the target and those eyes filled with joy. She put the sword away carefully, then jumped up and down on bruised feet. "I did it!" she cheered. She turned to whoever might be watching her, face lit with a joy that she should really be too tired to feel. "I DID IT!!!!"
IV.
Feeling accomplished after a few hours sleep, a good meal, and a dozen perfect runs on the target, Sora decided she had too much energy to just stand around and wait for her next lesson. She wandered the main street and then saw...
Strings of lights from building to building. Her eyes lit up even more than the lights as she looked around and quickly charted her course.
"Scuse me, Pardon me," she said as she scaled a small food cart with an arched roof, used that to jump and catch the branch of a tree. She swunf herself from the branch to an upper story ledge, then reached up, standing on bandaged toes till her fingers just reached the lip of the roof. Testing carefully to make sure the edge could support her weight she pulled herself up with ease. If not for that time at the amusement park, she wouldn't have thought about doing this sort of thing outside in a world not designed for acrobats. But now she kew that stuffy old writer was right. All the world WAS a stage!
She ran to the central edge of the roof and tested string after string till she found one strong enough and anchored enough that it should take her weight. Grinning merrily the young woman backed up, then ran at the edge of the roof, hitting the edge with her hands and shoving upward. She did three graceful flips then landed on the string of lights. It took her a moment to adjust her balance to the way it dipped, but then, confidant, she began practicing some of her high wire routines. Even though she was not watching the people below, she kept a smile on her face, kept her forms beautiful. Even if no one was watching, it was still a performance and she wouldn't let her beloved Kaleido Stage down. She just wished her friends were here to enjoy this beautiful night among the stars with her.

"Hello, I appear to be malfunctioning. Please try your request again later."
II. Being unsure is not in her programming. Regardless, she is. That does not stop her from being helpful and so, with some of this strange magic, she will wander around distributing glasses of water. Or, well, some liquid that is probably water. For some reason she just can't seem to get it right.
III. She has no data on the corroded beings and nowhere to download it. So she has to resort to base programming which is standing in front of the creatures and waiting for someone to tell her what to do. This could end poorly.
Because this couldn't possibly go poorly.

Belle - Beauty and the Beast (2017)
Weapons don't interest her overmuch - except in self-defense. Books, on the other hand, draw her as surely as a moth to a flame. Thus she can be found entering this shop and that shop, searching the shelves and pausing when she finds anything informative on her new...
Well, she doesn't want to call it a home, but it does look like she will be staying for some time. Suppressing a sigh, Belle glances around a bit awkwardly - the ball gown she is wearing is not suitable for anything other than dancing. She will need to find new clothes too, though she has no intention of losing sight of this dress. It's all she has to remember her Prince.
"Excuse me?" she calls out to the nearest person, hoping for some guidance.

Re: Belle - Beauty and the Beast (2017)
OMG! I so have to do this.
Fujisaki-san | Shugo Chara | Spoilers like whoa.
Nadeshiko was having a grand old time. Yes there was a mission, yes there was a lot that they needed to do, but they also needed to keep their imaginations going, right? And to keep their spirits up? Right? Of course right! So Nadeshiko has taken it in hand to help raise everyone's spirits herself. Anyone coming into the garden would see a large blanket spread on the grass and a small feast spread on the blanket. Nadeshiko sat at the center of it all, smiling warmly, inviting anyone who came past to feel free and take a sweet. Or even come and keep her company. There were all sorts of homemade desserts. Someone might have spent her most of her first check filling her kitchen for things like this. The rest was spent on the clothing she now wore.
To appearances, she was a young girl of about 12 or 13 wearing a sundress with a small capelet over her shoulders and the neckline. She had chosen pale purple with small pink flowers, and it suited her well. Her hair was up in a high ponytail and she had a tiny little shoulder bag mostly hidden under the capelet resting just under her arm, kept close. Despite the hidden bag, she moved with grace and the only way to tell she held anything at all would be if the capelet moved to show it. Mostly she just seemed like a cheerful young girl with bare feet and a warm smile.....
I.II Nagihiko
Nagihiko was... still not comfortable in his own skin. Not around strangers. The young boy with the long purple hair was sitting on a bench, one knee up with his arms around the bent leg, the other leg dangling and swinging, his sneaker just brushing the ground as he watched people, hoping that maybe if he got used to seeing them, some of them at least, wouldn't feel quite so much like strangers? Maybe?

Princess Ivy [age 10] / Xanth / OTA
"Madame Cherie always made me study all the known castles of Xanth," she remarked to no one, all too used to the rocks and inanimate objects talking back to her. "I must admit, you're certainly different!"
She wondered if she could get away with getting a sword since they didn't seem inclined to force her to do the princessly thing of jewelery focuses, but she very much doubted it. Madame Cherie certainly would have been upset, and Ivy still didn't understand why anyone wouldn't love Chex as much as Ivy did. A flying centaur! How grand! But centaurs were different, and supposed it went back to the idea that you either were magic, or had magic.
Alas, munny was a constraining influence in the end, and no matter how much Ivy thought it might be amusing to get a sword like her father, her mother's practicality won out. It was a funny thing, munny. There was no such thing in Xanth, and Ivy had always assumed that it only existed in Mundania because of their lack of magic. Yet here there was both! She wondered if Xanth was the weird one then, and giggled out loud at the very idea of it.
2: Ivy has never directly fought anything in her life. Even at 3, she was a terror, directing her two best friends: Hugo her Knight in Shiny Armor now mysteriously missing without a trace; and Stanley Steamer, named after the Mundania inventions and who was the greatly rejuvenated baby Gap Dragon. And for all of Ivy's bravery; she's not about to change that particular way now!
"Hello!" she picks on every nearest person or even the whole group. "What are you doing? How does your magic work? You're all so clever and strong!" she pretty much radiated that kind of charm. "Can I help?" She was nothing, if not friendly.
3. A very very small, clearly child princess ran out to meet the corroded head on. "You don't want to do that!" she protested, "I know, you're just hurting and don't know how to make it stop! Please!" she cried, arms spread as if to hug the monster, "Let me help you!"

Larry Daley || Night at the Museum
Maybe that's why he felt so out of sorts, even as a passing kid managed to tred on his foot and send him backwards into one of the walls. That, that was normal. The feeling of being comfortable but still lost?
Yeah. That was pretty new.
.iii.
"Oh no."
Larry grunted as he dropped to the floor, watching a few of the really weird creatures leap over him and onto a window. The whole building seemed to shudder, even though the...things were no bigger than Dexter.
Not that size really stopped the monkey from being a pain every so often.
"Hey! Get off that!" He grabbed his maglite, pushing himself off the ground and chasing after creatures. Who were far more interested in him than an old building.
Larry picked up on that and gave a silent little scream before back peddling down the alley. He really, really should have brushed up on his history last night!

Buggy | One Piece
[Main Street Usa is amazing to Buggy. This is fantastic. It's a bustling, busy, exciting place even at this hour. And despite still feeling very out of his element, Buggy is starting to actually enjoy himself. He's always up for a fresh start, after all. And there's something about this place that's starting to feel, well, magical to him. It's a flashy experience, and Buggy is wandering through with a bright grin and an appraising eye.
He can be found watching the lights, enjoying a snack in a cafe, and window shopping through the evening.]
II. Apprentice Training 101- Evening Class
[If Buggy is going to rise to the same power and status as he did back home, it's going to take a hell of a lot of training. This magic is a whole different animal than the powers that came with his devil fruit, and he's absolutely unsure of himself when it comes to this. That said, anyone who sees him listening wouldn't be able to guess at his insecurity. And maybe that faux confidence will bring people to him.
Or maybe they don't care, or are purposefully keeping their distance. It's hard to approach a clown for some. Especially one with bones colored on his forehead and a mouth that stretches impossibly wide when he grins. It's an shining endorsement for creepy, after all.]
IV. It's time to Sparkle!
[No one sparkles like Buggy does. No one's quite as flashy or fabulous. And he's telling stories of his amazing fabulous prowess as he stands on a bench, with a crowd of people around him eating up his amazing feats of piracy. He talks about the high seas and circus camaraderie, about dear friends and childhood rivalries, about treasures that are priceless and that sparkle the stars, and impenetrable prisons and his dashing escape from them.
And the best part? He doesn't even have to lie. And he's homesick enough that nostalgia really does tinge the stories with a feeling of sweetness and excitement, no matter how dramatic they are.]

Sam Winchester l Supernatural
Sam wandered the crowd smiling a little as he watched the joy and pleasure of the faces of visitors. He stops now and then for a picture since as a member of the Prince Class he looks good in his costume and he's tall and handsome. He's gentle with the little ones who are shy around him. But he is also aware of trouble as he wanders his stance tensing now and then as he looks around.
II. Evening Class
Sam studied his wand feeling it in his hand and really getting to know it. As someone who has worked magic before and handled weapons before that, Sam knew you had to get a feel for the tools you planned to use. The wood was smooth and normally he kept it in the form of a knife strapped to his side so it fit with his costume. He eyed the target carefully picturing the spell he wanted to use in his head and aimed shooting a spray of water at the bullseye.
III. Spark of Imagination
Sam never really thought about his ability to imagine before coming to the Kingdom. But now someone was asking him to try and he looks at his partner a little worried. "Are you sure about this," he asks quietly, "I mean....I....really. I'm not sure what might happen if we do this."
Sam has seen some dangerous things and died several times in his life. Giving his imagination free rein, controlled or otherwise could be dangerous.

Mothra | Godzilla: King of the Monsters, sorry for the poor prompts. Rushing this a little.
This... This does not look like anything she is used to. She goes to carefully move about in the streets, trying not to step on anyone before giving up and resting in the garden. She goes to glow a blueish hue as she allows her wings to glow and light up the area around her.
She can't sense either Godzilla or her children here. Where? Just where is she?
III
For the Queen of Monsters, she did not approve of how these much smaller and weaker monsters seem to be terrorizing the people here. She goes to let out a roar in order to claim this land as a part of her territory and if she catches a monster chasing after someone, she will be more than happy to help provide an escape by spitting her web and pinning down the monster to the streets.

Come at me with your own prompts! I am open to anything! Want to be mother or yeeted by her? Just come and let me know!
