I. Main Street Usa!

It's twilight, edging to evening, and yet the streets are still alive with citizens and Apprentices (that means you!) alike. Take the time to admire the lights, pop in and out of the cafes or just relax in the garden.

Weapon shops and magic shops are open late into the evening this time of year, so feel free to enjoy yourself before you equip yourself for the life head.


II. Apprentice Training 101- Evening Class

Same commons behind the fire house, same weapons and wands available for practicing your skills-- though this time under the cozy street lights and the bright blues and tired purples of a fading summer twilight. Strike at the training dummy or try to catch fireflies with whispers, its all up to you.


III. Things that Go Bump

Are bumping. And they mean business. A few level 1 corroded monsters are scurrying around Main Street causing havoc and it's up to you to stop them. The question is, is it early in the evening or do you dare to face the creatures at the night's darkest hour?


IV. It's time to Sparkle!

Everyone has a spark of imagination. That is, in fact, why you're here! It's time to shine with your own scenario! Just try to keep from causing too much trouble.

[Ven laughs, wondering how or if the other really knew that. It just takes him a bit of running to get his speed up more. Trying to rise to the goading in effort to at least try catch up more. Letting his feet push him forward faster as he gets further from the monster threat. When he gets closer he raises his free hand to reach for the other's shoulder, just to let him know Ven was there if and when he needed back up. Letting him know Ven caught up now.]

"Ho, iv hyu iz ready ve ken start vit de acktual runnink now," he said, smirking. And yes, teasing.

The actual running, huh? I'd say I'd race you but beyond keeping this direction I'm not actually sure where we're going exactly.

[So Ven laughs, but he stays just slightly behind, if not quite alongside the other as they run, his weapon swinging in his grip as he moves, hair shifting slightly with the movement.]

He laughed at that. "Ho, dat iz a goot point."

Wait, do you even know where we're going?

[Either way chances were they'd find the more crowded areas, the common areas eventually, but even so. It would be easier if at least one of them knew more about this place and where they were going. That's for sure.]

"Hy ken smell pepple."

You can....smell people?

[Well that might at least lead them in the right direction but he isn't quite sure what the other means by that? Since he doesn't think he smells anything in particular at the moment anyway?]

"UV curze. Hyu kent?"

Uh, well I can smell but....maybe not as strongly as you?

[Because unless those people were particularly in need of a bath or were wearing way too much perfume or something, Ven wouldn't necessarily really notice? Not without getting a lot closer anyway. Closer than they likely were. But if the smell was leading them the right direction, if it helped him find his friends, it was worth trying.]

"Mebbe hyu needz to be a Jäger too, den."

To be a --? Ah, I'm fine just being....me. Human.

[Even though there were probably quirks and benefits to being a Jager or whatever else. Ven is fine with just the way he was. Besides he wouldn't want to change too much in not being recognized by his friends.]

"Vhy not? Hyu vould be stronker vnd better able to proteck hyu friends."

I could protect them better? How?

[He isn't Terra. Or Riku. But....even so, Ven can't help but to be curious. Even if he knows this probably isn't possible and he isn't sure if he wants to be whatever this guy is talking about. Whatever he was.]

"Hyu vould be stronker vnd faster, vnd hyu can hunt. Hyu ken survive enyfink."

Anything?

[Really? He's....not so sure about that. Everything eventually died. Well, except rocks or such perhaps but even then, there was erosion and the like. Nothing lasted forever, especially not something living. At least that he was aware of, necessarily.]

"Veel, Hy ken say hy haff never died vunce, so dere is dat. Und ve've been through zum crezy zctuff."

Well, obviously, or else you wouldn't be here, talking and all. You'd be dead. Ashes or buried or something. What kind of crazy stuff?

[Not like Ven can't say his recent adventures haven't been....well, crazy at times, given everything. But still.]

"Vell, dere vas de time ve vas hung, und de time ve vas stuck in de crypts vor veeks. Oh, und den dere vas de time dat de lady vanted uz to save her Lars und de others. Ve dun know vat doze tinks vere. Whoo boy dad vas a crezy night."

You -- wait you were hung? And you survived?

[Sure, people had been known to survive a hanging but that didn't often happen, given the intent and all. And whatever it was that caused them to be in the crypts for weeks.]

"Sure. Hit vas fun. Dey were all takink bets on ven ve vould die."

They....were what now?

[Taking bets? On something like that? It hardly seemed like that would be what was on anyone's mind at the time of such a thing....]

"Oh yez. Den de circus kem into town and whoo boy dat vas a mess. Not dat it vas de show;z fault or nothink. See, Vat happened vas..." you might want to stop him, this will become a story.

How was a circus a mess?

[Of course he asks.....of course he does. Possibly unfortunately for him? But Ven was curious, and always trying to make new friends at the worlds he ended up at, aside from the obvious of trying to find Terra and knowing Aqua was following.]

"Ho, not de circus, de town vhile dey vere dere. See, ve vas just hankink out, me und my burrders. Figurink ve'd gets to see a vree show. But den another Jäger kem riding op on her bear und some eddiot shoots at her. So ov courze she attacks. Den vun of de Circus girls, vun who smelled verra verra nize, she asks if ve could be trusted. She makes uz svear on de House Heterodyne dat ve vill help. Ve agree und she kets uz down. Jezt like dat. Vunderful voman. Luff her, uv courze. So ve make a big show uv cashink off the Jäger und her bear, Faüst. Whooo boy vas she ever convused!" he laughed, slapping his thigh. Hy thinks dat she vas commink to get uz out uv dere herself, tired uv vaiting for us to break free."

She was riding the bear? And being shot at? I have no idea what that was about but. Okay. More about what happened in town while the circus happened to be performing or whatever, I get that.

[Then again. Ven has his own strange stories he could tell, from all his adventures back home. So it probably isn't all that weird? It's just a little more difficult to follow with the other's accent, but Ven is kind of getting used to it now? Sort of.]
