I. Main Street Usa!

It's twilight, edging to evening, and yet the streets are still alive with citizens and Apprentices (that means you!) alike. Take the time to admire the lights, pop in and out of the cafes or just relax in the garden.

Weapon shops and magic shops are open late into the evening this time of year, so feel free to enjoy yourself before you equip yourself for the life head.

II. Apprentice Training 101- Evening Class

Same commons behind the fire house, same weapons and wands available for practicing your skills-- though this time under the cozy street lights and the bright blues and tired purples of a fading summer twilight. Strike at the training dummy or try to catch fireflies with whispers, its all up to you.

III. Things that Go Bump

Are bumping. And they mean business. A few level 1 corroded monsters are scurrying around Main Street causing havoc and it's up to you to stop them. The question is, is it early in the evening or do you dare to face the creatures at the night's darkest hour?

IV. It's time to Sparkle!

Everyone has a spark of imagination. That is, in fact, why you're here! It's time to shine with your own scenario! Just try to keep from causing too much trouble.

Crowley nodded with a sneer that, yes, she was definitely too young to be out there fighting.

"Another Princess."

That sounded safe enough. She wouldn't have to deal with Hades at all.

"Shouldn't you still be with someone, chaperone, parent... zoo keeper?"

"Yep," Leia confirmed. "Princess Leia Organa of Alderaan. But you can just call me Leia; titles take way too long to say when you don't have to." So surprise, Crowley, this Princess was actually royalty. "What's your name? And do you know any of the other Princes or Princesses?" Cause it sort of sounded like he did, and she should probably get to know the people she'd be working with.

"Well I have a roommate," she said, sounding just a touch defensive after the 'zookeeper' bit. She wasn't that much trouble. "But they didn't want to come out today and I did. And I've been doing just fine walking around by myself all day." Mostly because the cafe gave out free breakfast and lunch to Apprentices and the ice cream vendor was a nice guy, but details, details...

As a former Nanny he wasn't going to buy that for a minute. Even quote, 'good kids' needed a zoo keeper from time to time.

"Anthony Crowley."

Though most tended naturally to prefer his last name he still offered the whole thing, after all he had dreamed it up so he might as well use it.

"And yeah, I've met a few Princess and Prince types, King Arthur was a card... Really should have paid more attention to Guinevere."

A beat.

"Oh, you mean here. Live with one, a Prince so he was told. You having any luck with that healing training?"

That was almost certainly true, but both Leia's attendant droid and any of her organic tutors or others assigned to watch her when her parents couldn't would object to being called a zookeeper, so Leia felt obligated to be mildly offended on their behalf. And besides, she was a Princess; even as young as she was, she had a few standards.

"It's nice to meet you, Mr. Crowley," she said, giving him a polite nod. She then had to hurry up and take a few quick nibbles of her ice cream bar so it wouldn't melt everywhere, but once that minor crisis was averted, she continued. "But no, not yet. I just got here a couple days ago, and no one's told me where to go for lessons yet." She knew that doctors and nurses had to go to school for a long time before they were allowed to heal people, so she assumed that there'd be healing lessons involved for her as well before she'd be allowed to help out.

"Probably for the best. I don't know how the Princess classes go but the other ones tend to be rough."

Ice creams in summer heat were so very messy weren't they? Mind you, as he watched the young girl enjoying hers it did put him in mind for a Popsicle. Still messy but they did come in all of those wonderful fruity flavors.

"Where did you get that?"

"From him," Leia said, pointing across the street to where a man with an ice cream cart stood. He was partly hidden behind a tree at their current angle, so it would have been easy enough for Crowley to miss him. "He's nice, and he has lots of different kinds of ice cream. Not just ones like this, if you want something else."

Not moving from where he stood he still managed to lean enough to one side to peer around the tree.

"That has got to be the sneakiest ice cream man... Wonder if he's still mad that I yelled at him about the lack of sprinkles."

"He's not sneaky, he's nice," Leia said. "It's just kinda hard to see him from here now. He used to be right across there and easy to see, but he had to move his cart down a little so a repair man could fix that lamppost a little while ago."

"Though if he is mad, I bet he'd still sell you some ice cream if you said you're sorry," she said.

"Sorry!"

The word was absolutely hissed.

"But I'm not sorry. Demons don't do 'sorry'. He should have had sprinkles. What self respecting ice cream man skimps on the sprinkles?"

"Well maybe he didn't, and he just ran out before you got there," Leia pointed out. "You don't know. So not having sprinkles is no reason to yell at somebody." Though she considered that for a moment before conceding, "Well, maybe to pout a little bit. But not to yell."

"And sometimes it's important to say sorry even if you don't really feel sorry," she said. "Like this one time, my mommy and daddy were having a party for some important people and I had to go too, and this lady in a really frilly dress' false eyelashes fell off and went in her drink. She didn't notice til she went to take a drink, but then she made a really funny face and dropped the drink all over her dress case she thought it was a bug or something. I laughed, but she got mad and Mommy made me say sorry so she'd calm down."

"I wasn't really sorry for laughing, cause the face she made was really funny!", she said giggling slightly even now at the memory. "But it helped anyway, and all the grown ups got to go back to talking about boring stuff again. So it might help you to say sorry too, even if you're not really."

"Besides," she said, "if you say sorry but you're really not, then you'd be fibbing. And I bet that's something demons can do, right?"
