I. Main Street Usa!
It's twilight, edging to evening, and yet the streets are still alive with citizens and Apprentices (that means you!) alike. Take the time to admire the lights, pop in and out of the cafes or just relax in the garden.
Weapon shops and magic shops are open late into the evening this time of year, so feel free to enjoy yourself before you equip yourself for the life head.
II. Apprentice Training 101- Evening Class
Same commons behind the fire house, same weapons and wands available for practicing your skills-- though this time under the cozy street lights and the bright blues and tired purples of a fading summer twilight. Strike at the training dummy or try to catch fireflies with whispers, its all up to you.
III. Things that Go Bump
Are bumping. And they mean business. A few level 1 corroded monsters are scurrying around Main Street causing havoc and it's up to you to stop them. The question is, is it early in the evening or do you dare to face the creatures at the night's darkest hour?
IV. It's time to Sparkle!
Everyone has a spark of imagination. That is, in fact, why you're here! It's time to shine with your own scenario! Just try to keep from causing too much trouble.

Date: 2019-07-30 03:58 am (UTC)Eleanor's eyes were practically bugging out of her head at the idea. It was enough to dislodge her rage at him for sacrificing himself to save them. What the shitballs?! She didn't even notice that he was fixing the sleeves of his jacket. In shock, she sank back into her seat, her arms resting on the table. "A year... What the fuck happened?"
hey, other folks: canon spoilers for S2 & S3 up in here.
Date: 2019-07-30 04:11 am (UTC)"The Judge wanted proof that you'd changed, but didn't think the metrics from the Neighborhood were good enough. I was desperate, I had to come up with something. I wasn't just going to let her fail you all after all of that ... so I pleaded with her to give you a second chance."
The waiter approached with Eleanor's drink and shrimp, and Michael paused to let him set them down and refill his water glass.
"Thanks." Once they were alone again, he sighed. "She gave you one, alright: by bringing you back to life at the moment you were supposed to have died. All four of you. To see what you'd do if a near-death experience gave you a wake-up call."

Date: 2019-07-30 03:36 pm (UTC)When the waiter left she leaned back in her seat, arms crossed. "So you're telling me that instead of going to the Good Place or back to the Bad Place we just got stuck back in our shitty lives? What the fuck kind of logic is that? Wouldn't we be different just 'cause we died and came back?"

Date: 2019-07-30 06:55 pm (UTC)With that, she snagged one of the shrimp and took a bite. Her eyes roll back. Damn that was a good shrimp.

"Besides which, I just found out something that really steamed my shorts. You're not even gonna believe it..."

Date: 2019-07-30 08:11 pm (UTC)She frowned. "Wait, I thought you wanted to get into The Good Place, too. Shouldn't you have worried about points, too? Though I guess it doesn't matter here..."
She thinks for a moment, watching him mangle his food. "what did you find out?"

Date: 2019-07-30 09:45 pm (UTC)Through her shock and anger something stuck out and she smirked, raising an eyebrow at him, "Major insult props, by the way."

Date: 2019-07-30 10:01 pm (UTC)"Exactly. So I stole evidence from Accounting. I was going to take us all to the Good Place and prove it ... but I ended up here, instead. And now you're all caught up. .... And thank you. Rose taught me the 'thick' part. I think you'd really like her. She's a London trash bag. Maybe not quite as trashy? But she still holds her own."

Date: 2019-07-30 10:21 pm (UTC)The mention of Rose makes her smile, though. "Oh we've met. She's a fine piece of work. Glad you've had another blonde bombshell to keep you in line unti I showed up."

Date: 2019-08-03 05:50 pm (UTC)If she'd ever done so in the first place, that was. And here he couldn't just snap it away and make her forget, either.
"Keep me in line?" He recovered easily, chuckling. "Did you miss the part where I said she was as much of a hot mess as you? Maybe more. She's got this unrequited thing going on with my roommate that makes poor Janet and Jason look like ... like ... I don't know. You and that guy from the 2014 Barenaked Ladies concert."
no subject
Date: 2019-08-04 04:30 pm (UTC)"Yeah and who better to keep you in line without me here, huh? It makes perfect sense!"
Also, oh buddy. You're either oblivious, ignorant, or just ignoring the facts. "And I'm pretty sure her roommate isn't the only one she's got the hots for."
no subject
Date: 2019-08-06 12:01 am (UTC)"And I know she thinks I'm ... sexy." He shifted in his chair a little at the word and took a bite of his baked potato to get the taste of it out of his mouth. Ew. Human bodily stuff. "We talked about it, and she knows it's got about as much chance of happening as Jason winning Jeopardy."

Date: 2019-08-07 11:05 pm (UTC)Awww he's uncomfortable. That's adorable! She smirks, reaching for another shrimp, "Oh c'mon it's not that horrible an idea, is it? I'm sure even demons gotta get their thang on once in a while."
