I. Main Street Usa!

It's twilight, edging to evening, and yet the streets are still alive with citizens and Apprentices (that means you!) alike. Take the time to admire the lights, pop in and out of the cafes or just relax in the garden.

Weapon shops and magic shops are open late into the evening this time of year, so feel free to enjoy yourself before you equip yourself for the life head.


II. Apprentice Training 101- Evening Class

Same commons behind the fire house, same weapons and wands available for practicing your skills-- though this time under the cozy street lights and the bright blues and tired purples of a fading summer twilight. Strike at the training dummy or try to catch fireflies with whispers, its all up to you.


III. Things that Go Bump

Are bumping. And they mean business. A few level 1 corroded monsters are scurrying around Main Street causing havoc and it's up to you to stop them. The question is, is it early in the evening or do you dare to face the creatures at the night's darkest hour?


IV. It's time to Sparkle!

Everyone has a spark of imagination. That is, in fact, why you're here! It's time to shine with your own scenario! Just try to keep from causing too much trouble.

That got an eye roll, "Of course you do." No, Missy, you're trying to be nice! "well perhaps you won't be here long and you can get back to your... Wandering."

"Nah, I'm good. Journey's destination and all that. I was looking for allies in a fight, and I found them, so I'm happy to just fight alongside them, instead of being a ghost."

"How... Optimistic"

It was almost sickening.

"though I suppose you're right. Anything's better than being a ghost."

[bigbadrose]

"Is it optimistic?" a face scrunch. "Not sure about that, but yeah, beats Hell, like I said."

Ever curious, Missy looked at her, one eyebrow raised. "Are you speaking from experience?"

[bigbadrose]

"Yes," Rose answered simply. "I shot Satan into a black hole, so he got his revenge on me the only way he could."

She shrugged. "It doesn't matter though, I won, he lost. The Doctor lives, the darkness is continually being defeated, and multiple universes thrive on. Doesn't matter how long I'd have to be a ghost or any of the rest, I'd do it all again."

Another shrug, "I can't tell you what afterlife is like though. There's different systems in different universes. My friend, Michael, was an architect for one, they're these beings that design the neighborhoods souls live in, Aziraphale and Crowley have more traditional heaven and hell, and Lydia accidentally saw the book of the Netherworld, and she's friends with ghosts. My version of being a ghost was more trying to actually reach through dimensions and virtually doing it blind. Oh, and Ghostbusters is real too." A third shrug. "Sorry, I can't be more comforting than that. But for now, it's best to focus on how great it is you're still alive, yeah?"

Well now, this was news. Rose hadn't been to her version of the afterlife, though she'd heard the girl had gone traipsing around different universes.

"Interesting. There seems to be quite a few of us here with death or afterlife experience. I wonder if that's by design."

[bigbadrose]

Rose wanted to reject it out of reflex, but didn't find herself truly capable. "Perhaps," she admitted slowly. "The spark to fight corrosion requires imagination, it might be that encountering death and work on my around it or thwarting it heightens that spark, or at least... Makes it easier for the mirror to latch onto us," she nodded slowly.

"Clever girl." No wonder he liked her. It was a ridiculous idea, but it was certainly worth considering. "facing death does have a tendency to change one's view on life"
