Kingdom Curse #1 End and Q & A
Sep. 22nd, 2019 05:49 pmAs the castle bell toll midnight on September 21st, a hush will fall over the kingdom. A soft, blue glow will surround every turret and after a bright pulse of light-the kingdom will return to normal. The air has returned to it's pleasant feel and all names called will not result in an Apprentice being dragged half way across the city.
Players may continue to backdate logs and post to the Curse log as well, but as of September 22nd, no effects will be felt.
As is our tradition, we will have a short Q&A for this event! The mods have a few questions and we are taking any suggestions for future curses. This also includes any suggestions regarding the voting...which, ended up tied. Twice! Disney tradition I suppose!
Mod Questions:
1. Did the curse feel rushed? Too long? How was the length of it all?
2. Was the curse itself well explained or did you feel there were things left unanswered or unexplored?
3. Should we pause Missions during Curse Weeks? I noticed many were worried about overlap and would like to avoid that sort of stress to players in future events.
4. As we've nothing planned for November due to NANOWRIMO, would a short (3-4 days) curse be something you would like to do or leave November a free month and just wait for the Christmas Spectacular that will be December?

2. The explanation seemed fine to me!
3. Maybe. Very decisive I know! I wasn't stressed about the overlap but it did take some thinking not to schedule the wrong things during the curse.
4. Might be a nice idea to have something for all us poor saps who will be lonely when everyone else disappears.

Date: 2019-09-23 04:53 pm (UTC)1. I can't really give a decent answer here because RL exploded on me during this past week ... but I think anything ICly longer than a week would have been too much.
2. I think that explaining was handled well by giving players the opportunity to ask clarifying questions in the OOC curse post.... and the mods were very good at getting back to those of us who asked things on Plurk, too! Perhaps for next time there could be a Curse Winner Workshop post before the curse actually begins for such things to be discussed and/or ironed out?
3. I think pausing Missions is a good idea - not only to prevent overlap and stress, but because it makes IC sense. If the Kingdom's magic is on the fritz, maaaaybe going out beyond the safe areas is a good idea ... XD
4. I think having a small event for those who will not be buried by NaNo or fall RL things like holidays, etc, would be a lovely idea.
