Mystery Mission Info!

Congratulations to Lydia, Atem and Fenton! The only volunteers winners of the perfectly safe no really Mystery Mission!



Date: Sept 12th-14th (though the log itself will go up on the 9th)
Mission Giver: Hades
NPC Accompaniment: Panic
Duration: 3 Days (to allow for travel time)
Sparks: Two per character


[Main Street]
Hades will send a message to the three unlucky participants to meet him in the Opera House. There they will be asked to go to New Orleans and fetch a book and a candle from an old sagging house not far from the bayou. He will also send Panic to accompany them.

[Water Front]
New Orleans is full to the brim with seedy characters. The trio's first task is to somehow procure a boat to get them across a particularly dangerous part of the bayou from the cutthroats, murderers, smugglers, mimes and otherwise unsavories that populate the place. Here they will encounter a level two corroded gator which they must either defeat, avoid or purify before moving on. (The when is at your discretion)


[Forest]
Once to the other side of the bayou and pass a stand of reeds, they will come upon a tall forest creeping with Spanish moss-- but markedly different from the jungle. In order to find their way to the house, they must answer correctly three riddles that they will encounter along the way. (These will be provided by the mod)

There are also optional corroded in the forest of level three and four. Encounters do not necessarily have to be fought, they can also be hidden from or run from whilst shrieking and flailing about.


[House]

On finding the house, they must first find a way to enter it. Once done, the candle may be gotten without trouble, but touching the book will trigger a level four corroded. (Further details to be shown in thread) This creature must be either defeated or purified before the book is allowed to leave the premises.


[Home Again]

This is completely optional and can be handwaved. Upon reaching home, the apprentices can either hand the requested objects to Panic to give to Hades or keep them. However if they decide to keep them, there will be regrettable IC consequences and the objects will be taken.
