I. Exploring Main Street! Take a trip through a little town taken straight from 1890's America. Visit the shops, dine at the restaurants- but don't forget you are here on a mission. As an Apprentice, you will need to gather some supplies. A weapon, or tool for producing magic.

But we understand if that corn dog cart on Market Street is your first stop.

II. Apprentice Class 101! Practice your spell casting and weaponship on the open commons behind the Firehouse. Sparring, casting or just general confusion abound here. Try not to hit anything or...anyone, the paint on the infirmary is still drying.

III. Look out! A level 2 corroded monster has managed to get onto Main Street! Protect the citizens and defeat the cur, and please watch the damage, the paint is still wet!

IV. One Little Spark! Go ahead, show us the strength of your imagination and come up with your own scenarios. Just, stay out of the Corroded Lands...if possible.

"Graffiti?"

Finally they were connected on something.

"Love a good graffiti! The bigger the better."

Which gives him an idea.

"Later if we don't find this missing angel how would you feel about... Oh I dunno, redecorating a castle?"

Because he would be angry and that sounds like a wonderful way to get rid of some steam.

She actually burst out laughing and tossed him a wink. "My colors are purple, green, and black. But something like that?" she nodded to the castle. "Oh I could have fun with that. Outside and in."

"Goll... black, castle would look wonderful in black."

There really was only the difficulty of finding the paint, but there had to be some somewhere... tool shed or even inside a shop maybe.

"It needs a message too, you know to really get the point across we aren't happy at being kidnapped."

"Oh trust me on that, I have EXACTLY the perfect message in mind for that. An old favorite, you might say."

"You're the artist."

On that he would simply hand her the supplies and let her go crazy.

"So I go left, you go right... anyone who finds an angel lets me know about it? And later, castle time."

"Yeah, seeing a few problems with this plan," she said smirking, hands on her hips. "Let's start with if I find him, how do I let you know? And Let's continue with what happens if you find him and I don't?"

"What do you want, smoke signals?"

He didn't really have a radio on him or anything super useful.

"Let's just meet in front of the castle in an hour. We can compare notes."

"See. That works. In front of the castle, one hour. Looking for your angel...." she grinned. "And some paint."

"Right, castle, angel, paint."

Really if he had been thinking he might have denied that 'your angel' bit but he was too worried to pay it much mind. Crowley just waved and set off in the opposite direction to begin the hunt.

As the Buffy song asks... where do we go from here?

She nodded and jogged off as well. Her list was a drop longer than his as she was also looking for weaponizable items, like fruit, her spellbook, her mother, and her vespa.

The end? Unless you want them to meet back up and paint the town.

Well, he didn't run so much as saunter away. He had a certain way of moving that seemed almost snake-like even while in 'human' form. But he was no less sincere in the search!

Painting the town sounds fun. This after his thread with his bestie?

She liked a good jog, got the blood moving, and scared the snot out of people. A jog or a stalk, sometimes a prowl. Isle style, always.

Yeah! And we can be vague as your thread with Az is still ongoing.

A lot happened in those hours they were apart. He had found his missing Angel, so everything seemed a little brighter, and he had discovered a massive amount of paint, so soon everything would be a lot more colorful too!

Crowley sat on the fence that surrounded that huge white castle. He wasn't even sure that girl he had met would show up back here but if she did there were several cans of paint waiting for her hidden in the bushes just behind him.

That works!

"Well, you look happy," she said, smirking. She crossed her arms. "Your hunt was a success then?"

"As it turns out it was."

And doesn't he sound pleasantly smug about that! Crowley even smiled at Mal before stabbing a thumb back in the direction of the bushes.

"I found your paint. Black, purple, green though there wasn't a whole lot of that one. You might have to get creative with red and yellow."

Well then, no need to mention she found him too. "Red and yellow?" To make green? Was he kidding. "Now that would require creativity, you've got that right..." she said with a smirk.

He leveled an unblinking look at her, as if he could read all those unspoken thoughts.

"To make orange! It's a 'Halloween' color too. Not as green as green, but there's where the creativity comes in."

"Yeah, not so much going for Halloween and Long Live Evil, but I can make it work." Maybe a bit more Jay and Jafar than Mal and her mother, but she could make this work. Still, she'd have to ration her green to make the most of it.

"So there's the paint, there's the castle," a glance towards that large white building, "I've done my part now it's up to you to do yours."

"What? You didn't want to have fun too?" she asked, kicking a can so that it flipped up. She caught it neatly, finger on the nozzle.

"I'm not really much of a painter."

Unfortunately he wasn't the most artistic of demons.

"I could scrawl a few rude words but they would probably just get in the way of your work."

She tossed him a can of red and started loading her pack with the other cans. "Ah, the more the merrier. No right or wrong in art. Just oh so many ways to be wicked," she said with a grin before zipping her bag with finality, snagging the last two cans and heading for the castle. And yes, she did thumb off the lids and let them fall as she went.

He caught the can and gave it a little shake. That was what one did with these things wasn't it? Crowley thought to read the instructions but, eh, he would wing it.

Then he made his way to the front door. He liked the arts, had quite a collection of statues and paintings... even sketches of famous paintings from the Masters themselves, but he wasn't kidding when he had said he wasn't much of an artist himself. He shook the can of red again and started getting 'artistic' by writing, 'Merlin is a...'

But before he could write the final word he looked up to see how Mal was doing.

She's still blond, just wanted to use this icon.

Mal... was an artist. She was working on the back layer of her work, usually green for what she had in mind, but purple this time instead. Even without other colours or designs yet it still have the impression of both a cowl and of fire. She was humming to herself as she worked, focused on her design.

Hard at work then! And it was looking good, better than his tag but that was to be expected. Crowley finished scrawling his rude word in bold letters ending it with three, no four exclamation marks and an emote demon with his tongue sticking out. It was a little on the nose but... whatever.

"You're good with a spray can. I wondered if you would be or if it was all just talk."
