I. Exploring Main Street! Take a trip through a little town taken straight from 1890's America. Visit the shops, dine at the restaurants- but don't forget you are here on a mission. As an Apprentice, you will need to gather some supplies. A weapon, or tool for producing magic.
But we understand if that corn dog cart on Market Street is your first stop.
II. Apprentice Class 101! Practice your spell casting and weaponship on the open commons behind the Firehouse. Sparring, casting or just general confusion abound here. Try not to hit anything or...anyone, the paint on the infirmary is still drying.
III. Look out! A level 2 corroded monster has managed to get onto Main Street! Protect the citizens and defeat the cur, and please watch the damage, the paint is still wet!
IV. One Little Spark! Go ahead, show us the strength of your imagination and come up with your own scenarios. Just, stay out of the Corroded Lands...if possible.

"Probaaaaably not as primitive as you'd think," she crossed her eyes, and laughed again. "I got engaged to a caveman once. Accidentally convinced his tribe I was trying to make peace with so they wouldn't massacre another tribe, that I was there to do their nails... and somehow that meant they thought my Mum sent me to marry into them...." a small laugh. "Soooo anything beats that way of laundry, really. Although I'm never gonna be all 'yeah illusion clothing seared onto your retinas is totally fine.' That's a step too far for me." A beat. "That's in the future from my time. I'm a time and dimension traveler. On account of my Da' and best friend."

"Oh?" Prompting her to do continue and explain what she meant by that. "You did what?" There was no masking his surprise on that one. The whole time travel thing confirmed his earlier suspicions that she had some experience with the concept of appearing in different timelines but that meant she literally could have gone to anywhere and experienced anything.. so that shouldn't have caught him off guard. "Marriages are often use to forge bonds between nations so I can see where they might have gotten confused... though manicures are something far different than matrimony." The washing machine gently hummed beside them as they spoke.
"That could give new meaning to the tale the emperor's new clothes..." If said emperor had images seared onto his retinas and no one else did. "... That's a bit much for me as well." Leave the eyes out of it. "I've experienced two different periods in time myself but not in the manner that you have." Atem paused a moment to marvel at the concept of a stable method of consistently traveling through time. He thought Kaiba's ambitions for dimensional travel were a little foolhardy and ill-conceived in his desperation to get it to work and potentially life threatening when you get right down to it. Her stories gave him some hope that Kaiba might also figure out a way without scrambling his own atoms in the process. "Aren't you ever concerned about altering the timeline?"

Date: 2019-07-15 01:13 am (UTC)Rose shrugged about the cavewomen matriarchs. "It was probably the forging peace thing, yeah? Marriage is that happens, so they probably thought I was sent there for that? I dunno." She pushed back her hair with one hand and giggled at the Emperor's new clothes joke.
"Just a bit, yeah. And oh, blimey, all the time." altering the timeline, yup yup yup. "Created one paradox by... accidentally on purpose trying to save my Da'? I've been really careful ever since. Annnnd right now... where I was... I can't change the timeline, I'm just trying to get back to my birth universe and dimension... or I was. But I'm just... fighting the darkness. So...."
