I. Exploring Main Street! Take a trip through a little town taken straight from 1890's America. Visit the shops, dine at the restaurants- but don't forget you are here on a mission. As an Apprentice, you will need to gather some supplies. A weapon, or tool for producing magic.
But we understand if that corn dog cart on Market Street is your first stop.
II. Apprentice Class 101! Practice your spell casting and weaponship on the open commons behind the Firehouse. Sparring, casting or just general confusion abound here. Try not to hit anything or...anyone, the paint on the infirmary is still drying.
III. Look out! A level 2 corroded monster has managed to get onto Main Street! Protect the citizens and defeat the cur, and please watch the damage, the paint is still wet!
IV. One Little Spark! Go ahead, show us the strength of your imagination and come up with your own scenarios. Just, stay out of the Corroded Lands...if possible.

Date: 2019-07-10 08:35 pm (UTC)Did that much really need to be spelled out for the fussy haired young man! Actually it occurred to him that with both doors closed to prevent trouser dog from escaping and the machine over producing these copious amount of suds they might well have been in danger of drowning in them.
"Keep trying!"
The Doctor shouted over his shoulder as he tried to find and pry open the closed door behind him, not an easy thing to do at all when the bubbles were so deep they were well over your head. Oh to be two inches taller!
"Or the knob, on the machine itself! See if you can switch it off!"

It could have been a lot worse- though if all these suds caused water damage Atem could be liable for it and he had no means to pay for it so in that sense it was very bad. Once they got the situation under control he'd see about cleaning the place up. It was his responsibility after all. He hadn't made the connection to the doors since he assumed they were not airtight, but the insistence and urgency in his current companion's voice was fairly convincing that he shouldn't take this too lightly.
Atem could certainly relate to the height issue. He was far from tall himself, so he ended up climbing on top of the machine to get his head more out of the bubbles. The knob was the better idea, as that turned easily to the off position under his guidance. The machine shuddered to a stop, leaving the sound of fizzing and popping bubbles in it's wake. "That should do it!"
Drawing an easy breath, Atem got his first chance to really survey the results of his mistake.

Date: 2019-07-13 02:35 am (UTC)"That's a safe assumption." Atem replied with a nod. "I guess I should have paid more attention when I was watching the others."
Wanting to keep this on a lighter note he threw in another anecdote at his own expense. "You should have seen me trying to make breakfast earlier....

Date: 2019-07-13 04:19 am (UTC)The Doctor bounded forward to check on the machine and the boy, but finding them both in fine help... and cleaner than they were before... he patted Yami's shoulder.
"I did wonder at that alarm earlier."
