I. Exploring Main Street! Take a trip through a little town taken straight from 1890's America. Visit the shops, dine at the restaurants- but don't forget you are here on a mission. As an Apprentice, you will need to gather some supplies. A weapon, or tool for producing magic.

But we understand if that corn dog cart on Market Street is your first stop.

II. Apprentice Class 101! Practice your spell casting and weaponship on the open commons behind the Firehouse. Sparring, casting or just general confusion abound here. Try not to hit anything or...anyone, the paint on the infirmary is still drying.

III. Look out! A level 2 corroded monster has managed to get onto Main Street! Protect the citizens and defeat the cur, and please watch the damage, the paint is still wet!

IV. One Little Spark! Go ahead, show us the strength of your imagination and come up with your own scenarios. Just, stay out of the Corroded Lands...if possible.

Already in a cantankerous mood- catching Crowley's offhanded comment wasn't helping to alleviate that. At least the only response he offered up was a quirk of an eyebrow as he briefly scrutinized the stranger. Kaiba had fully intended not to engage this man in an unnecessary conversation, since he already had problems enough of his own without adding to them. How he both tired and loathed people trying to drag him into their humanitarian endeavors. That and when they tried to convince him of the existence of magic. Magic. Who were they trying to kid? It was insulting really and this place had already touched on both of his triggers. Let the Kingdom deal with it's corrosion problem on it's own, he had a business to run and a younger brother to watch over.

So no, he hadn't planned on even acknowledging the winged idiot but that was before Crowley just kept talking. That was when something within Kaiba snapped, and he came up with a sarcastic response. He was never really short on those.

"If I had to guess, I'd say it's for the same reason that you forgot to ditch that ridiculous costume."

When the tall fellow with the long white cloak spoke it was actually the first time Crowley noticed he was there. Sad to say he had been so deep in his own thoughts, about that stupid song but more importantly why this place had nearly reminded him of the stupid song, that he really hadn't paid any attention to who he was standing next to. At the comment however he did give the guy a good looking over and leveled his own assessment.

"Says the guy with the airplane wing strapped to his wrist and the bondage belts lashed to his arms."

Crowley clicked his tongue and looked back at the square, bobbing his head at some one in a yellow bear costume.

"Shouldn't you be over there with the other mascots?"

Mores the pity that Kaiba hadn't kept his commentary to himself then. He could have kept on walking without getting into his first altercation. The first of many, he imagined. Raising his left arm, he brought the mechanical implement more into view. The disparaging remarks about his other accessories were temporarily forgotten as he first countered to defend the airplane wing

"This happens to be the state of the art in duel technology," Which might have meant more if they were back in Domino, so he proceeded to explain what that meant. "With this, and it's holographic projectors a simple game of duel monsters pushes the limits of immersion. It's as if the monsters are really there." He boldly stated his claims as if he were pitching the product at a board meeting, or to a potential consumer base. You could tell it was something he prided himself on, as well he should have been since he personally invented the thing.

Gritting his teeth at the mascot statement he fired off an retort of his own. "You obviously don't know who you're talking to." If he did then he would have chosen his words a little more carefully. "The names Seto Kaiba, president and ceo of Kaiba corporation. The only mascots I associate with at all are working for me.".

If only he had kept his thoughts to himself then he wouldn't be locked in a battle of wills with a demon who could be as much bravado as he could be. Crowley raised an eyebrow at the man in a 'are you still talking' sort of way but... grudging admitted that was interesting.

"Whaat, like VR?"

He glanced right, then left, looking at Kaiba's head.

"I don't see any glasses. Still in the very experimental stage is it?"

Technology was interesting. You never knew what sorts of ideas it would inspire. It still looked like a small wing though. Not very attractive and how heavy it must be!

"Yeaap," disinterested pop on the 'p', "People always say that when they are losing an argument. You don't know who you are talking to... I've found that is usually because they don't know who they are talking to. Anthony Crowley."

He bobbed his head down at the bear again.

"Pooh one of yours then? Hadn't you better get down there, whole mob of kids coming."

Kaiba might have recognized that look but it didn't deter him from proceeding in any way.

With a scoff," Better." Truthfully he'd dabbled around in the type of VR Crowley was thinking of before, and he'd surpassed his peers on that score as well, but his duel disk was something else, something better because it didn't need a lot of extra wires, cords or accessories to use it and it was portable.

"There's a very simple reason for that," A pointed pause," The duel disk system doesn't need them." Bristling at the word experimental he deftly activated the device and drew a card. "How's this for experimental?" Sliding the card he drew into a slot on his duel disk and Vorse Raider appeared before him.

"I haven't lost anything, especially not to you." The name didn't mean anything to Kaiba, which came as no surprise.

"That's his problem, and for your information he isn't." This vantage point apparently wasn't big enough for the both of their egos. "Isn't there a furry convention you should be attending?" Said while curling his lip in disgust.

He really didn't want to admit that was pretty clever... unfortunately being a bit of a dork he flapped his wings reflexively when the creature appeared in a backwards flight retreat.

"What in heaven is that!?"

Of course his name didn't mean anything here it was more what he was than tended to leave people in cold sweats, whenever he bothered to allow them to find out. Which unfortunately had happened too often here.

That aversion to marveling at his brilliant invention didn't surprise Kaiba in the slightest. In fact he wholly expected it would just serve to shut the other up. Guys like him couldn't admit when they'd been shown up.

Vorse Raider, menacing looking as he was stood there patiently awaiting orders. A smirk drew up one side of the teenager's lips. "Pretty lifelike isn't it, just like I said." Then just as swiftly as the monster appeared, it dissipated in a flash of light as the duel disk was deactivated.

"That was a duel monster, or at least the holographic projection of one." You could never convince him that they had ever been real in any dimension or time period.

"Duel Monsters, is that for a new ride?"

He shrugged as if it were only a hologram then there was nothing to be upset over. It's not like it could actually do anything.

"Amazing the kinds of things you humans come up with just to give yourselves a scare."

You wanted praise, there was a taste of it. He, unlike most demons, could be impressed by the things humans invented.

"Is it going to be a roller coaster or one of those dark rides?"

Wait, was this guy for real or did he actually know who Seto Kaiba was? I mean, the question wasn't that outlandish given the fact that the teenager did happen to own his own amusement park. It was hard to say, so he answered it straight. "My company does have a new ride in development. People have a generally short attention span, we're constantly having to adapt and change Kaibaland to draw in new interest."

Exactly. Just a hologram. That's what he's been telling the nerd herd for years. Where have you been all his life?

"Us humans, huh? Aren't you taking this whole cosplay thing a little too far..." Because trust him when he says he's not interested in larping with you.

"One of those dark rides...?" Eyebrow raising. "What it is is top secret until we're ready to start releasing the press on it."

Crowley blew out a puff of air as he laughed! Not a big belly laugh like a jolly old Saint might do but the laugh of a snarky cool guy chuckling wickedly at some one who was not.

"You named this park after yourself!? Haven't got much of an ego, have you?"

His, VERY REAL, and not at all larping accessory wings, flexed defensively as they came under scrutiny again. As long as this idiot didn't try to tug on them...

"I don't usually go around with them on full display but there is something about this place that prevents my being able to hide them."

A frown at Kaiba, as if to say not like he needed to explain it to you, only speaking out loud!
