A huge, huge thank you to all of our Cast Members! Our first Mod Plot here at Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdoms has been a huge success, all because of you guys! So an honest thank you and congratulations. The Plot has officially ended and Merlin will be posting shortly to end things ICly.

We will be putting up some summaries here once I can make it through the logs without either crying or laughing until my sides hurt.

Log Summaries

Blue Group Summary

Green Group Summary

Red Group Summary

Now, as this was our first big plot, we as Mods want your input! This is your game as much as it is ours and we want you guys to have as much stress free fun as possible. So we are holding a quick Question and Answer session right here in the comments. Any questions, comments and suggestions are welcome! And I have a few questions as well if you guys don't mind answering them:

1. Would a longer OOC plotting time be needed for future Mod Plots? If so, how long? A week? The beginning of the month? Other?

2. Were the amount of options for the in log events enough or too much?

3. Was enough information given at each stage of the Mod Plot, without giving away too much and still keeping a fun sort of surprise element to the whole thing?

Thank you once again, and have a magical day!

First of all, THANK YOU for putting this plot together and running everything! It was an absolute blast from start to finish, and I enjoyed myself thoroughly. And now, the questions.

1. I think the combination of comm and Plurk plotting worked well! As the playerbase grows that might need to change, but for now I think things are pretty good as they stand.

2. Just enough! I think that maybe adding another IC day to things might help make how long it took to tag everything IRL a bit more balanced, though. I know some teams (cough cough Participation Award) are still working things out, and having more IC time to put against IRL time for events might help even that out in the future? IDK. Just thinkin' with my fingers.

3. Absolutely! I'm curious to see what happens when the medallion from the temple is brought back, how Sparks are ICly rewarded, and what happens with Dreamfinder and Figment... not to mention the jungle itself!

Listen! Only three out of the five of them are actually close to trained and most of them are fairies! D< If Aziraphale weren't an angel he'd participate you right off the floor!

But thank you for your input, dear.

Yes thank you for the fun plot! It was a wild ride, but I loved it!

1. Agreeing that the combo of comm and plurk plotting worked out pretty well. No changes that need made there for the time being as far as I can see. Another day or two of OOC plotting time probably wouldn't hurt, especially if future plots end up being more complex, but it's not a big issue.

2. Just the right amount of options I thought. And the different teams were a nice way for people to get CR with folks their characters might not interact with under other circumstances.

3. I thought it was a really good amount, not too much or too little. Just looking forward to what's next myself! :)

This was a lot of fun. Chaotic. Insane. Fun. So thank you guys. I am loving this game, and this is kind of the perfect home for Mal. I am so glad I am here with everyone. I love that we were split into teams to make it manageable, and that each team had something to actually DO. And that there were plans in place for if anyone had decided to stay back. This was great. And insane. Did I mention insane?

1. I don't think we needed more OOC plotting time, but maybe a bit more IC time in the event itself? I don't know how the other teams are doing, given I am too busy working with my team to follow their threads, but I know that team rescue Figment is still having CR heavy threads heading back. so a bit more time in the future would be awesome.

2. I think we had a good amount of options for the size group we were.

3. I am someone who is always going "wait, what? I don't get it" about game mechanics until I am VERY settled into a game. (I still have questions every now and again about Bending in Wake and I've been there years now, so I know this is a me thing. But the rest of my team was abe to know what was going on well enough that I think we hit all the marks we were supposed to with battling and the challenges and stuff, so the info is probably sufficient! :D I am just accepting my life as one who is eternally confused.

Again, thank you guys so much. Loving this game SO MUCH already.

Insane is fun and awesome and thank you for being insane. :D

1. OMG, ROFL. Yeah, apparently we hit drama.

2. No, thank YOU.

3. Yep, still learning to balance that. But also things like I have no clue how the team knew what the corrupted look like or how easily (or not) they'd be defeated. Things like that.

That was a really fun plot guys! I did have a blast with it! Congratulations!
Now to write too much about these questions!

1.) I'm not of the opinion there needed to be more OOC plotting time than there was. The time we had felt about right to me and it was so much better than sitting around for half a month with nothing at all to do.
I think the comm / plurk combo worked alright and I did like that people kept checking back on the plotting plurks for updates and things. I too do think that might become an issue with a larger game and/or some one who doesn't have a plurk but it's fine the size the game is now.
If I had a suggestion it might be a good idea to add links to any plotting plurks on the comm because after a while they did become more difficult to find them on plurk. Just to keep things organized and help people keep up.

2.) I do sorta think there were a few too many options. I like choices but there were some sections of the log that didn't get much play because there was so much going on. It did get a little chaotic with day one getting the most replies and the rest of the days sort of tapering off.

3.) The NPCs were fine. I did enjoy the little narrative story bits along the way. For this particular plot it seemed like most of the surprise came from not knowing what the other players would do and that's fine! Its nice to have it be very player driven. The only thing that concerns me is that it seemed to be a given that all the groups would succeed, which again is fine for the first plot, but if it is to be player driven then there should be consequences if the objectives in the plots aren't completed.

With regards to the third, it's entirely up to the player/group if the group does not succeed. So if any one particular group decided to failboat... all the way, then consequences would be given. Which'd be interesting to plot in the future!

However this way we avoid the stress of people wanting to do the right thing so as not to fail and also allow for total disasters to somehow succeed.

Love the idea of linking the Plurks here! I ended up just liking all three and going into my Liked filter, but I'm someone who rarely clicks that little heart, so YMMV on that tactic.

Pretty much agreeing with everyone here. This was a fantastic first mod plot, and I'm still having tons of fun with it! XD

1) I think the OOC plotting time is just fine enough. If we find we need more plotting time as our group gets larger, later, we can always change it.

2) I think narrowing it down by one would be a good idea. Choosing two options out of four, it was really hard to decide (especially as so many of them sounded like so much fun!) Maybe, for the time being, maybe... just have the 1 main goal of the mod plot (eg: rescuing Dreamfinder), then 1 optional plot for others to run across (eg: the pitcher plants). We can always add in our own sub-threads on top of that, if we want (eg: all the camping threads), buuut.... ...well, Team Trash/Participation Award/Fail/etc has only just arrived at the Temple! ... And the rope bridge. Not that I'm complaining, mind you. I'm loving everything about those threads, and having a ton of fun, and I am ready to keep on backtagging to keep playing stuff out, but... yeah. Maybe as mentioned above, 1 more IC day to play around with all these events would help.

3) Everything looked fine to me! You've been very helpful about answering questions, should we need any clarification on things.

This plot was so much fun! Eleanor was massively grumpy the whole time but our team was so great!

1. I think the plotting time was perfect. Echoing what others had said in that I loved the combination of DW and Plurk plotting. The regular Plurk plotting made things run so smoothly!

2. I'm torn... I loved having options but they were all so good! I think my only issue is with varying timezones and tagging speeds (all fine!) it made it hard to get to everything without things overlapping and getting too confusing.

3. I think it was just the right amount of information! It was also great to have some amount of flexibility for the group to control and interpret things.

Yes! I meant to mention it and apparently forgot, but one of my favorite things about this game is how accomodating and patient everyone is about time zones and speeds!

I can legitimately say I love everyone in this bar and do, indeed, want to go where everybody knows my name. GET IT? hahaaaaaI'madork.

Okay, fiiiiiiinally getting to this, but yes, thank you so much for putting this all together, and for an awesome game in general! I'm definitely enjoying myself!

1. I think it was a good amount of OOC plotting, though I agree with a bit more IC time for the event itself. I feel like the whole thing happened very quickly, and sometimes felt a bit rushed? Not through anyone's fault, but it was a bit hard to keep track of things during the day for me personally, with my work schedule and time zone. A bit more time for events might help to pace things out a bit more, and hopefully make it easier for slow taggers like me to catch up.

2. The amount of options for the logs was just right!

3. Definitely! It was just the right amount of information to let us know what we're doing while keeping us on our toes for what's going to happen next.
