NPC APPS!!!

So you want to be an SMK NPC! But you have some questions. Here are some answers for you:

Who can I apply for? One of two powerful ladies from the enchanting Bayou: Lady Pirate Captain Redd or Madam Leota
How many can I apply for? One or the other!
What’s the AC for the NPC? Exactly half of what is required for a regular character.
Does it count for my current roster of characters? Nope!
What are the duties of an NPC? The main one is to help out with events centralized within the NPC’s land. Though they will also assist in the larger, Kingdom wide events. NPCs can also create their own Mystery Mission after consulting with the mods.

Name: Current Character(s): NPC being applied for: Availability: please be honest! We don’t want to overwhelm anyone! Email: we plot on google docs so this is important (you can also pm this to us if you prefer keeping it private!) How familiar are you with Disneyland /Disneyworld? This will not have any weight on our decision, it’s simply an FYI to let us know just how much information we may need to provide in regards to events, mystery missions and general character to NPC interactions within the NPCs world. Why do you wish to play this character? Samples: Just write a sample of the characters as you would play them. It can be a Network post or the set up to a log. We will be looking for understanding of personality, and lore associated with the rides.

Availability: given the pace of this game? After nano very open. Pretty much only Nano and right before Ota are my big nope times. And who knows if there will be an ota in 2021

How familiar are you with Disneyland /Disneyworld? The parks: Lots. The comics/movies about/ect... significantly less. But I do watch lots of videos online about the parks and attractions, past and present.
Why do you wish to play this character? I want to help out, and this is a way that I can. I want to be more involved in the game. And what we have on Leota is interesting, while still being open enough to give freedom to play her without a PHD in Disney Lore. (Can I get a PHD in Disney Lore? Please?)

Leota looked around the room. It had been set up to her specifications. Good. Many of the new apprentices seemed to be in one form or another... residents of what had been before... her domain. But no one here required her aids to speak with those not attached to the mortal coil. Ghosts and demons and even an angel, if that was to be believed. She could rightfully be upset, and for a short time she had considered it. After all, the fact that they can be seen and heard and communicated with by just anyone without her aid...


Oh it wasn't just about the money, thought that was nice enough. It helped her to keep ahead of others when she needed to. No, it was the art, darling. The art. The showmanship. She loved an audience. She loved watching someone with a good head in his or her shoulders near about jump out of their skin.She loved taking those who did not believe and watching the moment they began to.

And thanks to these few... those moments would be denied her. She would not be able to see them, or more, to cause them. It was enough to make one tear her own hair out. Not that she could. Or would.

But no. She thought about it and realized that they were, in fact, an opportunity. After all, because they were becoming common around town, they were almost... banal. They weren't exotic any more. It was like wearing a veil. The physical sort, not the sort she parted to commune with the spirits beyond. It was a hint of the hidden. A perfectly normal face could become fascinating when partially and mysteriously obscured. So let them walk around reminding people that mortal life is not all there is. Because yes, people could speak to THESE few on their own.

But to speak to the specific dead? Their loved ones? Or to glimpse the veil and squint at what was beyond it? For that, ah for that they needed her. So yes. Let those few walk around, let them whet the appetite for more. Let people look at them then come to her. She would be here, she would be waiting. She might even have so many people to see her that some might have to... call ahead.

So she was not angry at the likes of Crowley and Beetlejuice diluting her brand. If anything they were the walking free publicity that would draw crowds to her in droves unlike any she'd ever seen before. And who knew. Perhaps even these apprentices weren't so jaded as they seemed Perhaps she could even draw wonder from them.
