1 Angsty Magical Chosen One Comin’ Right Up!

Hello everyone, my name is Mari and a newbie to the game. I am ready to throw this poor fellow into the battle against the Corrosion and also continuing the trend of tossing English/British characters into the Magic Kingdoms. And his name is Harry Motherfreaking Potter of the mega-franchise of the same name, the version I have is a mix of the books and films.

A lot of you may have known of the guy for some time, but long story short: Harry is a half-blood wizard who got entangled into a prophecy that a child born in the end of July will end the Dark Lord Voldemort, capable of loving against the odds and despite being raised by some of the worst relatives ever, learns to do magical stuff, and gets into all sorts of crazy adventures in Hogwarts while discovering that all is not well in 1990’s Wizarding Britain. Yes, he can be a self-righteous arrogant jerk with a tendency to be judgmental at times and has a bad temper, clinical depression, and PTSD to boot, but he is still a kind and loyal guy who will fight for you until the end of time.

Harry will be taken from the end of Deathly Hallows (just before he could repair his old wand with the Elder Wand and after Voldemort is defeated) and he is still reeling in from the aftermath of the Battle of Hogwarts. Feel free to have your characters recognize him since I know that there will be characters who will be fanboying/girling over him like crazy. And he will deal with having to learn magic all over again with getting assigned to the Hero class, and somebody has to supervise him from jumping head first because he has a one-track mind and is reckless as heck. Creator save us all!

In case anyone is curious, I live far away from nearly everyone else (based in the Philippines) so I operate in PhST (Philippine Standard Time) and write primarily in first person prose for network and communication, and third person prose for logs and narratives. I do apologize in advance if I respond slower than a slug: I have weird internet connection problems at times, and I sometimes act before thinking twice. Hi new Mom! Yes, please adopt this little bean here. Poor Harry went through a lot of crap in his canon and witnessed many trusted adults dying so it would be a great change to have parent figures who won’t die a horrible death for once.

Hi Mari (and Harry)! Said adopted dad here, Nathan Drake. ;) He's an orphan himself, so he will have ALL THE FEELINGS about helping Harry. Hi Ang! I am pretty sure that Nate will care for Harry dearly and the two of them bonding over being Orphans AF. I am so looking forward to see Harry having great times and adventures with all four of them in the Magic Kingdoms. Also, both he and Michael will be seeing each other a lot while working at the Emporium to boot.

Hi, sorry for the late reply, I'm on hiatus in the middle of a move. (During COVID. I am less than thrilled.) But hello! Mal and Harry are going to be... um... interesting! Um... he's going to be cool with being talked down to by a purple haired brat of a girl who plays the bully as a defense mechanism around newbies, right? (LOL. Mal gets on most people's nerves at first, I do not expect a perfect meeting, promise!)

I also play Hikari who is about as muggle as a muggle can be and keeps passing out when someone proves magic is real, but is otherwise Ravenclaw brilliant, and ridiculously strong.

And.... I play Elan. An actual stick figure from a stick figure comic who is AWARE that he is a character in a comic about a game, or is in a game about a comic (He isn't Ravenclaw brilliant) but... thinks that this is part of his comic/game. He breaks the fourth wall not in recognizing what others are from but in talking about his writer and his artist at times or making random anachronistic pop culture references. He's an idiot, but he is a good boy.

But yeah, hi, I am Chicklet. Looking forward to getting to RP with Potter.

LOL, Mal and Harry could be the best of vitriolic best buddies. He will probably be side-eying her at times and not letting her know what he thinks; he has experiences with dealing with Slytherin bullies in the past, so he will be like ‘Yep, that girl’s a Slytherin!’

Hope you don’t mind letting him proving to Hikari that magic is real and Elan, being Elan, can be a fun wrench into his life with his almighty fourth-walling powers.

Good luck with the move. I am sure that we can have fun with our characters.

Mal would be so hard to sort, honestly. Because so much about her screams Slytherin on the surface, and she was raised to be that way... but when the line needs to be drawn, when push comes to shove... she's only ambitious as a survival tactic. Or to please others. Rarely for herself. She steps up and does the big hero thing when it is time to either choose good or stand for evil. EVERY time. But she doesn't see herself as a hero or brave, or as a leader. she loves her friends and is super loyal to them... but also runs when she gets overwhelmed, even though it means leaving them behind. And she really REALLY isn't Ravenclaw material. Girl uses spells to help her study because she has no time and studying is usually the last priority... She's a mess. A heart of gold under a forest of thorns. But yeah, most people would totally see her and jump to the Slytherin conclusion. Especially if they know anything about her parents. (she will NEVER admit to having a father though.)

He can try to prove it to Hikari. Hope you don't mind her passing out. A lot. And Elan... yeah. Elan is just pure fun to play and to play against.
