i.Main Street

Main Street has settled in for January, but there are still Christmas Decorations here and there to liven things up a little bit. Feel free to shop, mingle with the locals or explore the castle grounds.

Though after hours there are still some shadows that venture into the streets. Not everything here is as peaceful as it seems, and it’s best to defeat the corroded trespassers before they cause trouble.

ii. Cookie Overload

Do you like free cookies? Of course! Everyone does. After the Christmas Rush, there are plenty to go around, available only after the sun goes down to any hungry passerby. There are cookies of all styles and flavors. But watch out for the dreader sriracha cookie. It will make you breathe fire in three flavors and gives a bit of heartburn after, but the aftertaste will leave you craving more.


iii. The Eighth Wonder of the World
Now that the jungle has been purified, Apprentices can wander through to explore all the things the jungle has to offer. Take a (still somewhat shambly) riverboat and explore the river, or come to chat and trade with the villagers. (Shrunken heads, two for one special!) But beware. Even though the jungle is purified, it’s not a safe place. In this kingdom of animals, someone is always hungry.


iv. Pin It On Them
Some smugglers are hanging around the outskirts of New Orleans, selling dubious looking items from even more dubious looking bags. Do you buy from them? Haggle? Steal? (not recommended) Or quietly try to alert any sort of authority (good luck) The choice is yours.


v. Battle Mesa Gate
While the jungle may be purified, many other Kingdoms are still seething with corrosion. Erstwhile Apprentices will find such corrosion on the banks of the Rivers of America, right where the jungle river joins in. Fight corroded creatures on the shore and in the water and be careful, they are stronger than they look and cleverer than they seem.

"I do. I have quite a collection back home..." Amren said before trailing off as her looked towards the male. At first he could have easily been mistaken for a Peregryn but there was something off about him. Something that was very familiar. A familiarity that she had not felt since she left her original home universe.

"What are you?" She needs to know and confirm what she suspects!

"Well that's a rude question!" His wings bristle. "I am an Angel, obviously, but you might start by asking my name first and working round to it."

"I'm not known for being a prim and proper, soft spoken, polite maiden." An angel... When was the last time she'd seen another one of her kind? "Does Father know you're here?" She knew there was a slim possibility that they were from the same reality. If there was a reality created by a Mother, like the one she resides in now, there was a possibility that there was more than one Father in existence.

"You don't have to be prim and proper and soft spoken to be courteous. It's just a basic decent question. I'm almost disinclined to answer you, but I shall.... I'm not sure who you mean by Father." But he had an idea. An idea which sent cold chills down his spine. But... surely not. Not looking like that anyway.

"If you were paying attention than would have heard that I said I wasn't polite either." Was this male playing dumb or was he really just that stupid? She crosses her arms, still looking at him. Now she wasn't so sure if he was a real angel or not. "Very well. What happened after we were sent to destroy the twin cities?" One of the few times wrath was brought down on mortals of her original reality. If he was from her reality he should at least known about that.

"And why not? It costs absolutely nothing. Are you so above everyone that you think you don't need to be?" He snorted. "I am not sure which twin cities you mean. In fact I think we must be from different places entirely and thank Heaven for that." Because honestly.

"Perhaps I wouldn't be so rude if I wasn't dealing with easily offended idiots who need to grow a thicker skin." This male was starting to give her a headache and she turns back to the window. "It has been well over 15,000 years since I have seen a fellow angel and the first one I see is severely lacking in mental power."

"Clearly you don't see much beyond your own nose." He sniffed. "As a matter of fact, I don't believe you are an angel. At least not one that I would want to associate with." Well, he didn't care to associate with many. But at least their politeness was there, if strained.

"Good day."

That totally gets a slap across the face from her. Possibly there are some scratches too considering how long and sharp her nails are.

"You should talk, boy. You're quite rude yourself, and extremely closed minded. In fact, even ruder than me, since you're going about all high and mighty and being passive aggressive about. I at least admit that I am not polite.

"And my question was perfectly reasonable considering the situation everyone brought to this world is in. This place smells mostly human, and you are clearly not human. And I am very much doubt that you are one of my kin since I do not think Father would create such a fool."

She can try, but the moment her hand whips out, he leans away from the hit and creates a barrier around himself to prevent any other attacks.

He peers at her down the length of his nose.

Then turns away and heads off, back to his own business.

"Prick," she says and goes back to the window. No point in wasting her time with such fools.
