Character Meet and Greet: Winter Wonderful!

i.Main Street
Main Street has settled in for January, but there are still Christmas Decorations here and there to liven things up a little bit. Feel free to shop, mingle with the locals or explore the castle grounds.
Though after hours there are still some shadows that venture into the streets. Not everything here is as peaceful as it seems, and it’s best to defeat the corroded trespassers before they cause trouble.
ii. Cookie Overload
Do you like free cookies? Of course! Everyone does. After the Christmas Rush, there are plenty to go around, available only after the sun goes down to any hungry passerby. There are cookies of all styles and flavors. But watch out for the dreader sriracha cookie. It will make you breathe fire in three flavors and gives a bit of heartburn after, but the aftertaste will leave you craving more.
iii. The Eighth Wonder of the World
Now that the jungle has been purified, Apprentices can wander through to explore all the things the jungle has to offer. Take a (still somewhat shambly) riverboat and explore the river, or come to chat and trade with the villagers. (Shrunken heads, two for one special!) But beware. Even though the jungle is purified, it’s not a safe place. In this kingdom of animals, someone is always hungry.
iv. Pin It On Them
Some smugglers are hanging around the outskirts of New Orleans, selling dubious looking items from even more dubious looking bags. Do you buy from them? Haggle? Steal? (not recommended) Or quietly try to alert any sort of authority (good luck) The choice is yours.
v. Battle Mesa Gate
While the jungle may be purified, many other Kingdoms are still seething with corrosion. Erstwhile Apprentices will find such corrosion on the banks of the Rivers of America, right where the jungle river joins in. Fight corroded creatures on the shore and in the water and be careful, they are stronger than they look and cleverer than they seem.
Amren | ACoTaR
I.Main Street
Well, this town had a similar feel to Velaris, though much more small and quaint. Which is not a bad thing. Every now and then Amren likes small and quaint. She knows the other members of the Night Court would enjoy it, though she is not sure if the town would enjoy them. Especially with three certain male Illyrians and their antics. Oh well, they're not here now so she doesn't have to worry about that. For now she will enjoy her time away from her companions.
So, the petite High Fey looking woman continued her stroll down the street. Every now and then she will stop to look into a shop window before continuing on her way. She will stop for a noticeably longer time if the window was displaying jewelry. Especially jewelry with a lot of gems on it.
III. The Eighth Wonder of the World
Amren smack her neck to kill the latest mosquito that tried to bite her. "Cauldron! Is there no end to these pests?"
Maybe it was a bad idea to get on the riverboat. All she wanted to do was explore more of this world, and this is the price she is paying. The state of the boat should have been her first clue on what to expect.

"What are you?" She needs to know and confirm what she suspects!

"Good day."

"You should talk, boy. You're quite rude yourself, and extremely closed minded. In fact, even ruder than me, since you're going about all high and mighty and being passive aggressive about. I at least admit that I am not polite.
"And my question was perfectly reasonable considering the situation everyone brought to this world is in. This place smells mostly human, and you are clearly not human. And I am very much doubt that you are one of my kin since I do not think Father would create such a fool."

He peers at her down the length of his nose.
Then turns away and heads off, back to his own business.

"If you are looking to do this store the back door might be a better starting place."
no subject
She looked to the tale male and arched a brow. Another one with wings who was definitely not a Fey. He did have a similar feel to the angel she met earlier but this one was definitely not an angel either. She wonders if he is as stupid as that angel though.
"Why would I go to the back door when I'm window shopping?"
no subject
Kind of boring really, here he had been almost hoping the new arrival was casing the place just so there would be something less homespun and wholesome happening in town.
"You are a tourist then... Doing the whole sightseeing thing?"
no subject
She turns back to window. So far this one isn't as much of a prick as the other feathered being (she is refusing to call him an angel).
"I'm in the same position as you are. Taken from one world and brought to here to fight some creatures. I would hardly call that being a tourist."
no subject
Who called him boy, which was curious as he had never been one but certainly not the worst anyone had ever called him.
"There's no night life, at all."
He stood back a minute, not coming any nearer or moving further away, just observing her with those sunglass hidden eyes of his.
"The ears are very Tolkien."
no subject
She looks back at him and arches a brow. "What do you mean by Tolkien? This body is High Fey."
no subject
Which didn't mean to say he was going to let her in on what any of those were. If there was no nightlife well, one could make their own with a lot of wine, a fine meal, and an angel to cuddle up with. But, unfortunately it was during the day, his place of work was closed for a small vacation, and for the moment she was the most 'new' thing on the sidewalk.
"More Midsummer's Night Dream then..."
He spoke like it didn't matter as it didn't really.
"Where did you come from? Your world had to have a name."
no subject
"The world that I came from before here was called Prythian. Before that, the world was still very young and didn't have a common name yet."
no subject
The demon's wings flexed slightly as a chill breeze blew through them ruffling his feathers.
"I was saying you look like an elf."
He wiggles his fingers near the side of his head indicating her ears.
"All Fey have those?"
