"Because, in the brief, brief, time I was alive, I gained an appreciation for it. Life, I mean. And demons are apparently not equipped to handle that range of emotions, but, I digress."
He stuffed his hands into his pockets. "So. An appreciation for life, a fairly deep-rooted hatred for her, and the fact I am your friend."
