She listened to him with an intent, puzzled frown. This ... didn't sound like the Beetlejuice she knew, at all. Or even, she realized, much like herself. "I don't," she admitted. "But ... tell me one more thing: why did I want my dad to leave?"
Charles Deetz was ... problematic, and emotionally stunted, and had horrible taste in second wives ... but she still loved her father, and had been at the point where she would have rather gotten rid of herself than him. "If there's anyone in the house I would have hated enough to summon you for myself, it would've been Delia... not Dad. Something's weird here."
