Oh, Gos... you have no idea how close to home, and how hard, that hit. Fenton drew back a bit, taking in a breath and biting the bottom of his beak. "They're... not just about the TVs. Gizmoduck can... could... function without a TV." Maybe. He hoped. But the suit wasn't working. He had no idea if it could... WOULD ever work. The Dreamfinder had given him hope that the possibility of getting the suit working WAS a possibility (though he didn't know what Fenton had actually been asking about, when he'd offered his explanation, way back then). His hands clench and unclench faintly, and he clears his throat. "Darkwing doesn't need technology in order to fight crime..." he mumbles softly. "He'd be just fine, here."
He looked away, down the street towards the castle, although he really wasn't looking at anything, at the moment. Yeah. Darkwing would be just fine, here. He'd have no problems being a superhero. All he needed was his wits, his ingenutiy, and his determination. HIMSELF, on the other hand... Well... He was at an utter loss, wasn't he? Absolutely useless without the suit. ... Well, maybe not quite useless. He had his magic, now... and Lydia (and Atem) were great at supporting him, making him realize that even without his super suit, he could still do heroic things, here (even if they didn't realize just exactly what had been bothering him, on that mission).
"There's magic," he said softly. "We all have magic, here... We are all supposed to save the day with magic..."
He sounded a bit unsure, though. Or perhaps that was melancholy. Gosalyn had just - however unintentionally - reminded him that he couldn't be the superhero he was used to being, here. Insecurity hit, and it hit HARD... and way more often, still, than Fenton liked.
