Atem was patient as she sought out the right word. "It might be indeed." As far as he knew there had never been any altercations at the apartments before. He nodded, pleased that she felt comfortable accepting his offer. The hawk once again interrupted their conversation, apparently it just wasn't getting the hint.
"It's a pity..." He commented offhandedly, looking back to the bird. Hawks were such noble creatures, capable of being trained into being decent hunting companions under the right conditions- but this one must be starved. "... Er... that it hasn't moved on... I mean." Not that it didn't find it's meal here, which it wanted Mrs. Brisby to be. He had best hold off any admiration for the beast that was often seen as sacred in his land.
He chuckled a little at her warning. "I'm not worried about that.... but something will have to be done about him."
In a case of famous last words, the hawk did engage in the bold move of dive bombing the object of it's frustration. Apparently it thought if it could convince the human to vacate then it could resume it's hunt. In an undignified yelp, the pharaoh ducked out of the way. "Stay out of sight!" He ended up having to roll out of the hawk's way for it's next aerial stunt, it's loud screeching was offensive to the ears. Then he reached for his Khopesh. Honestly, he didn't wish to injure the non-corrupted bird but it could not be allowed to harass any of the apprentices. Thinking quickly, he tried to come up with a new way to manipulate his powers.
