Mal had been working on some art around town. She was between commissions, Lydia was about ready to hog tie her if she went out again without resting, but... she couldn't. Couldn't sleep when she was needed so badly. When they were all in danger. Not in those rooms with those comfortable sheets. So she had to do something. And that something was spray painting every bench she came across. This town could use a little color. And she was just the princess to purple the place up. As well as blacken its doors and make it green with envy. But when she got to his bench, there was someone there already.
"If you're still sitting there when I get to your half of the bench, I'll paint you too," she warned with a half grin. There were circles under her eyes though, and she looked exhausted. Her knapsack seemed heavy, but she didn't seem inclined to set it down, and there was a shape under her leather jacket, between it and her shirt. A book.
