A shrug, "Most people didn't sign up in Torchwood to save the multiverse. A lot of 'em just stumbled into the wrong place at the wrong time, didn't have much choice. Lost friends or family to the enemy, and couldn't bury their heads in the sand deep enough to ignore all the problems, knew they just had to do somethin' to try ta fix it." She beamed all the same, "My Dad would say that's why he's the Director, but that's just him bein' modest. He was workin' fer the greater good always, he just wouldn't admit it."
