None of it was needed at the moment - he had dishware in his strange new lodgings, but these looked a bit more like what he was used to, and had a far more human touch. That being said, fixing homesickness was a luxury, and one he didn't need. Perhaps her presence had been a sign from the Force to remind him to make do with what he had, and avoid excess.
