Character Meet and Greet: Boo to You~!

i. Main Street USA: Daylight Hours
The citizens of Main Street greet the coming of fall in a big way! The entire main part of town is decorated in the colors of fall, carved pumpkins on every window ledge, balcony and stoop! Some are rather creative, ranging from The King himself to various spook-tacular versions. There are also plain pumpkins, squash and apples arranged in a rather decorative (and tasty) presentation outside the Opera House!
Enjoy yourselves as The Candy Palace begins to hand out small, caramel and spice covered apple slices. The smell of apple fritters, grilled apples and apple bacon float through the air. Enjoy the rather relaxed daylight hours...
ii.Main Street USA: After Dark
Because the moment the sun sets, and the lamps have been lit- the entire street takes on a strange and unsettling demeanor. The pumpkins glow a soft, red color and bats and black cats crawl around the shadowed corners. You might see several citizens wandering the streets-but look to hard and they will suddenly vanish before you can even greet them.
The stores are still open and the sweets and treats are still pouring; but! Beware of happy haunts~!
iii. Yo ho, yo ho a Pirates life for me!
Ah! Smell that salty, briny air! It gives life to all those who are from or love the sea!
Which would be wonderful and invigorating, if this was the bottom of the beautiful briny sea. It isn't. It's the open garden in front of the train station which is no being over run by some rather fishy, lv. 2 Corroded! Can you help sweep the proverbial beach clean without being washed away by water based attacks? The conductors would be most grateful if you could!
iv.Come out and Socialize!
No need to be number one thousand! Imagination is the real host here, so go on and use your to come up with your own adventure. Just remember to take loved ones by the hand, please, our ghosts are frightfully sensitive to too much mischief~
What's this?
Jack had to resist the urge to rub his eyes, although the sense of wonder remained in his skeletal expression. This wasn't Halloweentown, nor Christmastown, nor anywhere else he knew. Which only made sense, given the information his kind hosts had provided.
And yet...
The hint of chill in the air, festive laughter with a hint of cackle, and familiar orange gourds all brought a delightful shiver to his bones. Letting out a laugh of his own, slightly high and manic with joy, the tall Skeleton dressed in the pinstrike suit took his time. Walking the street and surveying the shops, with a hint of spring to his step as he felt quite comfortable even while the day grew darker.
Of course, the sight of a nearly 7ft tall skeleton, even in this season, might not be the most reassuring. At least he's polite and friendly? He's newly arrived and now has more questions than before with no wizard or god to answer them.

"Oh! I'm sorr--"
She whirls around, then looks up. And up.
How do you even greet the most amazing thing you've ever seen in your life? She's unsure. She's just going to gape. And grin.
no subject
What was new was the sense of wonder in her eyes and lack of fear. It was utterly charming, as well, as his head tilted in surprise. For all of a second before he shook himself slightly, and took a proper step back to allow her more room.
"No no, my mistake--my thoughts have been flitting here and there but around the same questions. Like moths avoiding a spider's web."
no subject
"I might be able to help with answering some of them, if you want. I've been here for a little while, now. My name's Lydia. Did you come through the mirror, too?"
no subject
"I did have the seriousness of the situation properly impressed upon me, since I've been summoned at this time of year instead of any other. I do hope that Halloweentown can manage without me for a bit..."
no subject
"Halloweentown?! For real? Deadly vu, that sounds amazing! Is it Halloween all year there?"

Re: What's this?
"Why hello there you handsome devil."
Re: What's this?
"Madam, you flatter me. And have me at a disadvantage, for I am just a humble skeleton. I haven't seen the devil since he was planning the menu for the two-week-deadline panic meeting."
no subject
"A humble skeleton? Oh my dear you needn't be humble about that. And you've actually met the devil? How fascinating! What was the deadline for?"
no subject
"It was the two week-deadline before last Halloween. It's become informally known as the "panic" meeting as the Mayor seems to do little else until reassured that most of the items remaining on the list are in progress or handled. It can drone and stretch on though, do to checking all of the details to be certain we're ready, so food and drink are often provided." That year, the red devil had volunteered to supply food and drink, as his other contributions to the celebration hadn't taken up as much time.

He's also absolutely staring without an ounce of shame.] Damn. That's a big fancy skeleton...
no subject
I assure you sir, I am not a 'that'.
[Perhaps a bit of slight indignation; turning to face the clown, Jack let his hands fold behind his back with his hands clasped. A generally polite expression on his bony face, he inclined his head slightly.]
My name is Jack Skellington. And you?
no subject
[This isn't the worst Buggy's language gets, honestly. But he looks up and eyes the skeleton, and nods in response. Okay, it's a skele-man, Buggy isn't going to question gender of the dead in the end.] Jack Skellington? Huh. I'm captain Buggy the clown, the genius jester! You have the honor of a flashy meeting!
[Buggy eyes him again. The bony dude has style.] You're pretty flashy yourself. [For a dead guy, but look at the aesthetic! Jack is owning the spooky theming.]
no subject
It is a pleasure to meet you, Captain.
[With a full on flourishingly low bow, one arm out to the side and foot tucked back. Bony grin and all, as Jack raises his head.]
I do appreciate a sense of style and flair, thank you for noticing. I suspect we have that quality in common, Captain.

Still, one never really knew for sure. So, wings flexing uncertainly and hands folded in front of him he approached the tall...creature.
"Hello... Pardon me if this is rude but...are you quite alright?"
no subject
Especially since Jack was also in a new world; who knew what was common here or not?
So, when addressed, he turned and let a friendly smile come to his face. Hopefully it would be reassuring to the other. "I am quite alright, thank you for asking." Genuinely meaning it. "Other than finding myself still with some questions and many things that make me curious about this new world. But I do understand our hosts are busy, and that the situation here must be serious. It pulled me away from my home at such a busy time!"
no subject
Oh so he must be simply... how he was. A strange, tall, oddly charming skeleton. Who at least
sounded cultured and was, more or less, impeccably tailored. Aziraphale wasn't sure what to make of the collar but it did fit the rather Halloween aesthetic of the fellow.
"Well it does tend to do that for some reason. But I suppose an hour of need waits for no man..." If he could be considered as such. "Would you care for a little tour? I've been sitting for ages and could do with a leg stretch.

He's far too thin to be a human in costume, and his facial movements are incredibly lifelike. It has to be some form of advanced robotics or puppetry, but the only way to find out is to investigate further. Kaiba tries to look impressive, but...well, it's rare that he encounters anyone taller than him, and looking up is strange.
"What are you supposed to be?"
Blunt as ever.
no subject
"I'm supposed to be here to help the wizard Merlin, and the God Hades, and this is to be my new home and base of operations. I'm given to understand there are others who've been so summoned to assist our two hosts as well. That the need is dire." All entirely matter-of-factedly, and as if it were obvious.
no subject
He frowns and folds his arms. "This 'magic' thing really doesn't work for me. I have a business to run, and I'm no soldier. But if they think they're going to frighten me into it, they're wrong."
He's not scared. Definitely not scared. Just rude.
no subject
Were this Halloween, or in his own domain, Jack might focus on trying to dredge that deeply-buried fear up nearer to the surface. Change the icy stare in the other's eyes from disdain to a chill from fear. Test that bravado a little, see what makes this human hide behind their shield of cynicism.
But this was not his own domain, even if Halloween was close, and he was here for a different purpose besides.
"I doubt very highly that if they did not believe the need were dire, then I would not have been summoned so close to Halloween." Jack modulates his voice so that it is less bragging--no ego in it--and more statement of fact. Their hosts surely knew that only a great urgency would draw Jack from Halloween Town now. "I've not seen evidence one way or another yet to convince me they are lying. They also appeared quite busy, so I will not deny that I have further questions I'd like to ask of them as well, concerning this whole situation."
The other clearly disbelieved--now why. Was it simply that so-sure-cynicism, or something more?

Re: What's this?
Re: What's this?
Because everyone knew the headmaster of Dragon Hall, Doctor Facilier, had friends on the other side. And everyone knew he was a villian, one of the worst when he had power. Almost as bad as her mother. Which meant that if this was one of his friends, this guy needed to be informed that the people here were under the protection of dragons. Never mind that Figment was about as scary as a kitten and Mal couldn't actually TRANSFORM like her mother could. Half of being a VK was bluffing and talking a good game. She could and would do that here if needed.
Re: What's this?
"Ho, iz hyu new?" he asked in his thick accent.
