In all honesty, it was the fact that he actually listened to her that gave her more pause than anything. She scrambled backwards,putting plenty of safe distance between them, and stared.

He hadn't groped her. Wasn't leering. And ... his face. Had she just been gone for so long, or was something really different going on there? Could a ghost actually look younger? It was probably another ectoplasmic parlor trick, like all the others, but it still gave her pause. The bugs stuck around, but stopped biting.
