Character Meet and Greet

Rules | FAQ | Premise | Applications

"You can design and create, and build the most wonderful place in the world. But it takes people to make the dream a reality."

I. Exploring Main Street! Take a trip through a little town taken straight from 1890's America. Visit the shops, dine at the restaurants- but don't forget you are here on a mission. As an Apprentice, you will need to gather some supplies. A weapon, or tool for producing magic.

But we understand if that corn dog cart on Market Street is your first stop.

II. Apprentice Class 101! Practice your spell casting and weaponship on the open commons behind the Firehouse. Sparring, casting or just general confusion abound here. Try not to hit anything or...anyone, the paint on the infirmary is still drying.

III. Look out! A level 2 corroded monster has managed to get onto Main Street! Protect the citizens and defeat the cur, and please watch the damage, the paint is still wet!

IV. One Little Spark! Go ahead, show us the strength of your imagination and come up with your own scenarios. Just, stay out of the Corroded Lands...if possible.

Michael hadn't heard that level of pain in a while. It actually warmed his black Eternal heart a little, until he remembered that it wasn't supposed to, anymore. His hand twitched with the muscle memory of writing "humans = good" on a blackboard thousands of times under Chidi's stern tutelage, and he headed toward the sound. By the time he'd found it, he was fully convinced that concern was the way to go. He had to be better, after all, it was the only way to help ... well, everyone. He'd had to retool his personal manifesto a little since arriving (and that had meant a few days curled up in his new living space in a bright red hoodie with yellow accents and a black hood from the Emporium, with the hood up and the strings pulled tight while he sulked it out).

"Hey, there, little guy," he said, putting on his most gentle tone and smile, squatting down next to Kohaku. Michael reached into his coat and took out a pocket square that matched his impeccable bow tie, holding it out in offering. "What's the matter?"

Kohaku's eyes overflowed with water. The small Angel took the offered cloth and applied it to those tears. A sympathetic ear was appreciated though what Kohaku really wanted was to be back home with Shuichiro and not be in trouble with God.

"God sent me here as a punishment for leaving Heaven and coming back to Earth without permission," Kohaku said, fighting with fresh tears. Kohaku was many things, and one of them was that Kohaku was painfully honest.

"Did He, now?" Michael tilted his head. "That's a new one. They didn't opt to give you the Eternal Scream? ... I wonder if this is an experimental thin--"

He gasped suddenly, clapping a hand over his mouth.

"Did they steal my idea? An experimental neighborhood, but for ... well ..." He gestured between the two of them. "Wouldn't that just figure. And why do they make such a big deal about us not being allowed on Earth, anyway? It's not like any of the humans seem to give a shirt, am I right? They just figure we're like them."

Kohaku sniffed, so confused. "The Eternal scream?" Kohaku asked. What was that? It didn't sound pleasant. "Did who steal what idea? How can an idea be stolen? A shirt? Most humans I have met are very kind, though. Shuichiro welcomed me into his home and takes care of me. He even lets the others stay with him. And his grandfather is very kind. So are the children at the hospital where he works."
