Character Meet and Greet

I. Exploring Main Street! Take a trip through a little town taken straight from 1890's America. Visit the shops, dine at the restaurants- but don't forget you are here on a mission. As an Apprentice, you will need to gather some supplies. A weapon, or tool for producing magic.
But we understand if that corn dog cart on Market Street is your first stop.
II. Apprentice Class 101! Practice your spell casting and weaponship on the open commons behind the Firehouse. Sparring, casting or just general confusion abound here. Try not to hit anything or...anyone, the paint on the infirmary is still drying.
III. Look out! A level 2 corroded monster has managed to get onto Main Street! Protect the citizens and defeat the cur, and please watch the damage, the paint is still wet!
IV. One Little Spark! Go ahead, show us the strength of your imagination and come up with your own scenarios. Just, stay out of the Corroded Lands...if possible.

"Scandinavia." He repeated, "It's where all that Norse Gods, Valhalla, Vikings and such comes from. You must have heard of it... Maybe in school?"
The child looked the type to be in school, one of those fancy privately owned ones where everyone tries to be so posh and proper. Explained the curls. Not that they looked bad on her, the opposite really, he liked a good curl himself, but most people these days didn't bother with them. Took far too much time.
"Me? No, not a big army guy, me... Your daddy in the army? Most fathers try to keep their little girls away from big guns like that one, not give on to them, leave them entirely unsupervised..."
Crowley glanced around. He had spent eleven years as a Nanny and fairly recently too so maybe it was his inner Mary Poppins that caused him to ask the unsupervised child with the massive explosive device...
"Are you here alone?"

Canon had indeed gone to school, in fact, she was best in class! But she'd still not heard of this Scandinavia place and as such, shook her head in response, her elongated curls dancing about in the air with the movement. Luckily for her, Canon's hair was naturally curled and so it didn't take much work to have it looking the way it was. Perhaps a supernatural ability of hers! "Mm, I think you might be wrong, sir. There is no Scandinavia where I am from and yet Valhalla is very much a part of my home!"
Just not her technical home.
"Daddy usually gives me whatever I ask for!" She didn't bother to field the question about her father since she didn't think it really mattered. What mattered was receiving her weapon and practicing with it to be the best cannoneer that she could be. "I explained to him that the noble career of cannoneering is something that ladies should definitely not turn away from just because one must put in a bit of work!"
...he wasn't wrong to be concerned. Canon rarely had parental supervision and that might have been why she tended to wreck things around her home and the surrounding town. But repairs were easy with people willing to work and a father whom had a pocketbook that seemingly had no end to it.
"Alone? Yes, that I am. Why do you ask?"
no subject
"You aren't from Earth then, just some place that uses the same names?"
He spoke the next part softly and nearly to himself.
"And I thought that Rose girl was crazy..."
He did know there were other worlds, helped to build a few of them, but they usually had very different sorts of names. The aliens of alpha centauri didn't go around talking about Norse myths!
"Maybe there are such things as alternate dimensions."
He shrugged and pouted, chalking all that up to the ineffable nature of God's whims.
At least the girl was spoiled rotten. From a demon's perspective that was a point in her favor. Her daddy gives her whatever she wants, that was spoiled, absolutely had to be!
"I ask because your all, what, 12? And carrying around a weapon most grown men would be afraid to touch. Where are your parents?"
no subject
If you want crazy, go talk to Amaterasu.Alternate what now? She tilted her head at him. This man spoke about somewhat strange things and Canon wasn't entirely certain what he was getting at. They didn't really teach students about dimensions where she came from. Even so, he was interesting and an adult; likely someone she could trust! Most adults she had ever run into were fairly helpful and even turned out to be aesir now and then.
Or valkyries. But who's counting, really?
Spoiled indeed. Canon more often than not got whatever she wanted. Daddy Warbucks didn't allow for her to go wanting for anything at all. Be it necessary or just something she felt like spending his hard earned money on. Laughing, Canon steepled her fingers together and smiled brilliantly to the man.
"Twelve? No, no, I am fifteen, sir! Hee~ Twelve, that is so very, very silly!" She raised her brows at his comment about men and her weapon. "You think men would be afraid to touch my cannon? How sad! Prima Blaster X is very lovely~" Sorry, did someone say something about parents? No? Oh, good.
no subject
He growled, then looked to the girl and her massive weapon.
"Maybe you. I can understand a kid wanting a giant gun but actually being given one..."
It boggled the demon mind! Humans were capable of the most ridiculous things!
"Haven't you ever considered you could hurt some one with that thing? There could have been some one behind the wall your sign was on."
no subject
She scrunched her nose as he did have a point. "Perhaps one could argue that point, yes. It was done without forethought, really. I simply saw a target and thought I would attempt to strike it! One must practice after all, although, you make a reasonable argument indeed. One must practice the weaponry and its uses but also follow safety precaution."
Which, frankly, she never really did. The amount of times that her father had to fork out money for repairs in town or to his own estate were incredulous and even atrocious, really. She had, when returning home, took up the tradition of firing her cannon as a greeting to those living in her humble town. Firing blanks, however, had never crossed her mind.
"My manners have left me, sir, I apologize. Was I granted your name?" She couldn't remember if so and felt a bit bad for that. "I am Canon."
Shocking, right?
no subject
He raised an eyebrow.
"Is that a nickname?"
Whether it was or not he gave his own name, also a nickname really, one he gave himself as his actual demonic name didn't really suit him anymore.
"Anthony Crowley."
So much better than Crawly.
"Anyway... I'm not saying don't blow things up, just make sure the things you do blow up don't have people behind them. Like that castle over there."
A headbob towards it sitting there all white and perfect.
"That is a fake building so there is no one in there. I imagine..."
He paced around her again, watching her carefully and then looking to that eyesore of a faux building.
"You wouldn't really be able to miss it with one of those rockets?"
sorry for lateness my dude 8<
Yes, really. Canon was her actual, proper name. Fitting, right?
"Well then, it is a pleasure to meet you, Mr Crowley." She let her gaze drift over to the castle in question. She agreed! It was much better to aim for a target that persons would not be around; unless people were the targets, then it was a whole other story. But she tilted her head to the castle. It seemed immaculate for being a faux building. She realized he was circling her again and once more, turned with him to strike up their 'dance' anew. "What about it is fake if I may inquire?"
It's ok. ^^
As the 'dance' seemed to have begun again he walked around her until she was facing the castle, then he stopped so that Canon, not a nickname girl, would have it in view view.
"Bet it'd be like it was snowing when you blew it up."
♥
What's styrofoam? Why didn't this girl know anything about anything? When their turning came to an end and she could see the structure in its entirety, it was well made for being, as he put it, fake. Still, if it wasn't a proper building then she could indeed use it as a target! Her fingers drummed on the oversize barrel to her cannon. Tilting her head back, she glanced to the much taller man."And nothing or no one could possibly be therein?"
Re: ♥
For a demon Crowley did still manage a little good now and then, as he did now by quickly giving the area a quick survey just to make certain no one had wandered into the area while they had been dancing.
"It wouldn't be any fun if some one got hurt."
no subject
"Huh, well, that went swimmingly, did it not?"
Such a sweet gullible kid!
Crowley beamed from ear to ear, practically on the verge of dancing in the Styrofoam rain, but he refrained from doing anything quiet so uncool.
"That'll make you popular around here! We're finally rid of that eyesore!"
she really, really is, ahaha!
"Oh, lovely! Do you think people really will be happy? I do hope so."
no subject
He lied. For all Crowley knew he was the only one who found that fake castle an eyesore but, there might have been others. He had never taken a poll.
"Anyway I think it looks tons better without the thing! You did fine!"
