Character Meet and Greet
I. Exploring Main Street! Take a trip through a little town taken straight from 1890's America. Visit the shops, dine at the restaurants- but don't forget you are here on a mission. As an Apprentice, you will need to gather some supplies. A weapon, or tool for producing magic.
But we understand if that corn dog cart on Market Street is your first stop.
II. Apprentice Class 101! Practice your spell casting and weaponship on the open commons behind the Firehouse. Sparring, casting or just general confusion abound here. Try not to hit anything or...anyone, the paint on the infirmary is still drying.
III. Look out! A level 2 corroded monster has managed to get onto Main Street! Protect the citizens and defeat the cur, and please watch the damage, the paint is still wet!
IV. One Little Spark! Go ahead, show us the strength of your imagination and come up with your own scenarios. Just, stay out of the Corroded Lands...if possible.

[Not to be outdone, he looked over the side of the building for a victim. Preferably someone who exuded the qualities he despised. They were supposed to be less susceptible to his powers but he'd grown stronger over the duration of his time on Earth. Ie. He wanted to show off]

[ He pointed to a tourist in a bold Hawaiian shirt. ]

[Chock full of cocky bravado, the number looked toward the target that had been sighted. It looked.... beneath him, but then again all humans did. The victim would hardly be a full test of his abilities, but he was the only one available at the time]

[Leaving the safety of the roof line, he floated behind the guy with the camera. A dark aura colored the air around him, as he lunged forward...........
only to just smack head first into the strangers massive form. Dark Mist emitted a hasty sound that was a mix of pain and surprise. Eyes widening he drew back, as the tourist turned around and laughed it off. "Careful there buddy, you must have been in quite the hurry". Dark Mist's face twisted with rage. How dare this lesser being laugh.... at him. Raising his hand before him, he tried to strike the tourist down with a dark wave of energy but... again... nothing happened.]
I... I don't believe this! How is this.... even possible?!

It got worse though. The fat tourist laughed but so did the black winged demon on the roof.]
Oi! Ghost!
[ He waved, quite pleased that had gone as well as he suspected it would. ]
I was wondering how long it would take you to figure that out!

Boy, how things were going to change for him while he was here, and not for the better][Head whipping up to spot the demon, he snarled, eyes flashing menacingly]

[At least he could still sound intimidating, to.... one lone tourist. The large man just backed off and took his leave. Floating back up to the roof, it was all he could do not to..... not to what? He couldn't do anything now. What was the point of all that time he'd spent acquiring all that strength if it was to be wrenched away from him in an instant?!]

If my demonic powers have been taken there is no way your ghostly ones would have worked. But, it's not a total loss. I hear there is a Mansion around somewhere that is looking for another one of your kind. You can take up haunting! Howl at some guests.

[Hearing that question affirmed, he lashed out his left arm to the side.... and again nothing. No duel disk. No manner in which to summon the avatar of... well.. himself. The other version of himself that could have wiped the smile off that smug visage]
Taken, but how?! What could possibly have absorbed our powers? [Well... Astral could have absorbed his powers had the lighter version of himself only embraced the dark energy but he was weak and hadn't been able to control the number] I'm sure you find yourself very amusing, but I don't. Every word you utter will lead to your undoing.

How are you going to see to my undoing? You couldn't even possess a fat man with a camera... and it was an old polaroid!
[ The camera brand was mentioned as if it were important the device had been an outdated model. It wasn't. ]
Something about this world's magic conflicts with ours. I didn't really pay attention to the lecture. Ask the old wizard if you are curious.

[Dark Mist attempted to quell his seething rage, as it was only being thrown back in his face but it was oh so difficult. A strategic retreat would soon be in order..]

[He thought about leaving but this encounter had already taught him 3 things. One, his powers were gone. Two, everyone here could see him, and three, the people of this kingdom were delusional if that thought for a moment that he would aide them]

Probably cause some trouble. It's what I'm good at and really, when you think about, maybe it will encourage them to send us back. We could be more trouble than we're worth.
