I. Exploring Main Street! Take a trip through a little town taken straight from 1890's America. Visit the shops, dine at the restaurants- but don't forget you are here on a mission. As an Apprentice, you will need to gather some supplies. A weapon, or tool for producing magic.

But we understand if that corn dog cart on Market Street is your first stop.

II. Apprentice Class 101! Practice your spell casting and weaponship on the open commons behind the Firehouse. Sparring, casting or just general confusion abound here. Try not to hit anything or...anyone, the paint on the infirmary is still drying.

III. Look out! A level 2 corroded monster has managed to get onto Main Street! Protect the citizens and defeat the cur, and please watch the damage, the paint is still wet!

IV. One Little Spark! Go ahead, show us the strength of your imagination and come up with your own scenarios. Just, stay out of the Corroded Lands...if possible.

"What?" That makes him stop dead in his tracks. "No. Absolutely not. I cannot accept a drink from a demon, well at all! But certainly not one that-- I mean, you have positively no class for one thing. Low-key threats!" He clicks his tongue. "Honestly! One would think you being retired and everything you would be more learned and creative! But no. Thank you. But no. You should find a decent little establishment down that road and make a right but for God's sake don't make me come and thwart you because I have just about enough on my plate with everything else.

How they expect me to get any work done in these conditions is completely beyond me.... I'll have to have a word with Merlin about this. Not that' he'll listen but if I have to suffer so does he."

This last part was mostly to himself.

"You were about to accept one a minute ago," he pointed out, unphased. "Besides, hardly my fault if he can't take a joke. And if he's angry about it? Well good for him, if he brings legal action against me that means I get a look at the legal system here and a chance to figure out how to get my stuff back, and then get back home. But don't think you're going to thwart me, I've bested better than you. Trust me, you'd rather have me as a friend than an enemy, and for this one rare shining moment, the choice is still yours."

"It is not a joke. It is bullying plain and simple. I won't be party to it." Money through unethical means was one thing, but this--! Also he doesn't like the demon's tone.

He draws himself up to his full five foot ten inches, looking at the demon down his nose no matter the height difference, flaring his wings a little.

"I am an Angel of the Almighty and I won't be threatened. We are enemies and we will be enemies, even to extinction."

Though he would rather not do this. It's going down a path he can't easily back down from. If only Crowley were here, he'd find some way out of this, but it is just Aziraphale alone in this unpleasant place. But he will be resolute! Even if he's meant to pay for it.

So he was taller than Aahz. So what? So were most Demons. "Enemies even to extinction? You really sure that's the card you want to play now?" he scratched his chin. "You see, as near as I can tell, we're both in the same boat at the moment. Whatever issues you have with Pervects, right now? I'm your best bet of surviving and finding a way home. After we're home, we go our separate ways. Then you want to get yourself killed going after Pervects? Your funeral. But situational ethics. In this situation you can either try and fail to kill one Pervect here, you can open your mind, and increase your chance of ever seeing home again. Right now, I want an ale and some food that isn't already dead by the time it gets to me. I couldn't care two shakes about killing you. In fact, as you have not yet asked me to define shakes or pointed out this isn't actually a boat, I'm not even overly frustrated with you, unlike some people I deal with on a regular basis. But if you attack me? then destroying you might move to the top of my list. Capice?"

He has no idea what he is talking about. Well, some idea. He catches the important parts and is a bit flustered by it all.

"I'm not going to attack you. That's what your kind does. I'm merely saying I won't bow to your bullying either. I'm not afraid of you whatever you decide."

"Wow. you bought the whole line even harder than the kid did. I'll point out I wasn't bullying you at the all. Yet. I could start if you were feeling left out," he said, dryly.

"Say what you wish. I've told you where it is." And he will have no more to do with him. Giving him a slightly awkward nod, he marches off, feathers still a bit ruffled.

He shook his head watching him go. "If not for the wings, I'd swear him a Khlad," he said to himself, outloud. And yes that was pronounced clod. "One of these days someone is going to bring that whole Dimension out of the dark ages." he just hoped to be there to see it.
