I. Exploring Main Street! Take a trip through a little town taken straight from 1890's America. Visit the shops, dine at the restaurants- but don't forget you are here on a mission. As an Apprentice, you will need to gather some supplies. A weapon, or tool for producing magic.

But we understand if that corn dog cart on Market Street is your first stop.

II. Apprentice Class 101! Practice your spell casting and weaponship on the open commons behind the Firehouse. Sparring, casting or just general confusion abound here. Try not to hit anything or...anyone, the paint on the infirmary is still drying.

III. Look out! A level 2 corroded monster has managed to get onto Main Street! Protect the citizens and defeat the cur, and please watch the damage, the paint is still wet!

IV. One Little Spark! Go ahead, show us the strength of your imagination and come up with your own scenarios. Just, stay out of the Corroded Lands...if possible.

"No hurting, I promise," Rose acquiesced easily enough. "But I'll give 'em a piece of my mind. If I ever find 'em." Which was not her highest priority. Stopping the darkness > finding Shuichiro > finding the Doctor > kicking God's face very firmly telling God that they have to be fake because true love was never wrong.

"Shuichiro might be here though. And if not, we'll find a way to get where he is, I promise."

"Shuichiro.... might be here? Then.... this isn't punishment from God?"

"No," Rose reached up gently to pat the angel's head. "But fighting the Darkness, I mean corruption, might be a test you have to face together. Or to get back to him."

Rose's stomach lurched. Now she wanted to cry. Solving the Darkness would just eliminate her way of getting back to the Doctor and possibly endanger him and a couple of universes. Blech.

"I'm not one of the Angel Masters though, I am not supposed to fight. I know some defense spells, but I can't even use them in this form."

[bigbadrose]

Rose shrugged. "So? I don't know any magic, I won't use weapons, and I'm just a human. But I've been looking for allies for years, and if all I can do is provide experience and stories, then that's what I'll do. I don't think fighting corruption is a physical war like anyone thinks. It's more like your heart. What you do. And no, love is never wrong. No matter who's it of." She'll fight a billion universes and tell every god in all of them the same thing.

"In my... heart?" Kohaku whispered, chubby hands going over that small chest. "My heart... hurts," the Angel admitted in a whisper.

[bigbadrose]

"Mine too," Rose looked up at the sky. "It doesn't matter where I am. What universe, what dimension. If I'm with him, then everything is fine. If I'm not, then I'm not okay. It's the worst feeling there is. Dying would be better. It's existence past death, just being a ghost. But if we don't keep pushing, if we don't get back to them, they won't find us. They might not even survive if we don't save them first! So we gotta, yeah? Men are pretty dumb like that. No matter what species. Want to tell me about Shuichiro while we look?"

"Shuichiro is the one who always saves me... not the other way around," Kohaku said softly. "He saved me from a Devil's servant when we first met. That's why.... more than anything I want to grant his wish. Whatever it may be."

[bigbadrose]

Rose snorted quietly at that. "The Doctor saved me the first time we met too, but it doesn't mean he wouldn't be dead a billion times over if not for me. Aren't you an angel?" She was starting to think Crowley was less of an exceptional demon than just Satan was. "What's his wish? And what was the demon's minion?"

"I am an Angel. I'm just... not a very good one," Kohaku said softly. "And all this time, Shuichiro said he didn't have a wish, that he might never have one and that I didn't need to stay around just for that... but he said he finally had a wish, finally had something he wanted to ask me for. And before he could the Angle Masters showed up and then I was here. He finally has a wish for me to grant... and I can't even do that right."

[bigbadrose]

"That's silly. That's like saying I'm not a good human," Rose snorted quietly. "You just are one. Maybe his wish was just to stay with you."

[amber_angel]

"I mess up every spell I try, even the simple ones. And stuck like this I'm little and chubby and useless," Kohaku said, sadly. "And I've brought all kinds of trouble to his house. I don't think that was his wish at all." But Kohaku's own wish was that it was.
