I. Exploring Main Street! Take a trip through a little town taken straight from 1890's America. Visit the shops, dine at the restaurants- but don't forget you are here on a mission. As an Apprentice, you will need to gather some supplies. A weapon, or tool for producing magic.

But we understand if that corn dog cart on Market Street is your first stop.

II. Apprentice Class 101! Practice your spell casting and weaponship on the open commons behind the Firehouse. Sparring, casting or just general confusion abound here. Try not to hit anything or...anyone, the paint on the infirmary is still drying.

III. Look out! A level 2 corroded monster has managed to get onto Main Street! Protect the citizens and defeat the cur, and please watch the damage, the paint is still wet!

IV. One Little Spark! Go ahead, show us the strength of your imagination and come up with your own scenarios. Just, stay out of the Corroded Lands...if possible.

"Someone just shoot me...." Chazz groaned, smashing his hands over his face. After dragging them back off in a dramatic fashion. "Or it.... shoot it." How was it possible that anything could sound so irritating with so little effort? "Look I don't even know what a preserver is, and I don't want to."

"Is that your natural voice or did you just inhale an entire tank of helium before you decided to bother me?" Somehow he just couldn't stop his own lips from moving but if he was insulting enough this insect would have to take the hint and buzz off.

If that would work Petalwing wouldn't have lasted ten minutes with Cutter. Petalwing grinned and settled into Chazz's hair. "Silly silly bigthing. Like Petalwing's voice, Tallthing? PEtalwing sing for you!"

"Don't you dare you obnoxious little..." Chazz trailed off as he reached up to his hair to try and yank the small humanoid creature off of him.

"If it's not duel spirits, then it's always something!" Seriously, what was it about him that attracted all the small irritating creatures?

Petalwing let itself be grabbed and smiled happily. "Bigthing want songsing?"

"The name is Chazz, and this bigthing wants to rip off your wingwings and stuff them into your mouth, so get lost!" Although he managed to pluck the creature free, he did not in fact try to harm it.

"Singaong time!" Petalwing had learned the hard way not to let bigthings and highthings and tallthings and digdigs know when they had found just about the only way to hurt a preserver. Which meant acting like this wasn't a threat at all. Which meant... singing!

Releasing his hold on the green monster, sprite, thing- Chazz clapped his hands over his ears. His face contorted in annoyance as he tried in vain to tune the high pitched warbling out. "Ugh, is that really the best you can do?! I didn't think anything could sound worse than Atticus's ukulele!"

Still happily singing, Petalwing settled comfortably into Chazz's hair.

Being overly dramatic, Chazz collapsed to his knees like he'd just lost this entrance examination duel. Then he leaned forward until his elbows nearly touched his legs.

"No one asked for this! CAN IT ALREADY!" He never thought he could find a creature more annoying than the ojama but here was petalwing.

"No, bigthing need singasong!" Petalwing said happily, before resuming with the horrid noise that couldn't really be called singing even by the most generous of souls.

"The only thing I need right now is earplugs, and a one way ticket home." It might be the happiest place on earth for some people, but Chazz wasn't sharing that sentiment. Forcing himself to look up, he looked around for anything he could use to shake this creep. If there was a fountain he could have dunked his head in it, but he didn't see one.

"I'M NOT LISTENING TO YOU... LALALALALALALALALA" Or he could be equally obnoxious.

Petalwing perked up at that and the song shifted to follow Chazz's song... in the most painful way possible.

... Which was much to the chagrin of anyone in the immediate vicinity. This carried on for a bit, before the Chazz lost it. Reaching for the irritation again, if he managed to grab ahold of it, he was going to try hurling it forward, and racing off in the other direction because there was only so much one could tolerate.

And when flung, Petalwing simply flew back, still singing.

This is totally why the wings should have been ripped clean off, it's just something that despite his earlier threat Chazz wouldn't do. Perhaps the low level duel spirits could sense that side of him and that's why they tended to haunt him. Or in other words, he would mostly tolerate them.

This made for a ridiculous scene as Chazz tried to escape, but he could hear the singing trailing along after him. "I'm just glad no one from school can see this...." he muttered to himself. As he neared this area with a bunch of pirate memorabilia, he noticed there was a cage holding a stuffed parrot. Eyes glinting, he altered his course to steer towards that. Petalwing couldn't pursue him if contained.

Oh what a surprise he would be in for if he tried. PEtalwing continued pursuit, singing at the top of tiny lungs.
