Character Meet and Greet

Rules | FAQ | Premise | Applications

"You can design and create, and build the most wonderful place in the world. But it takes people to make the dream a reality."

I. Exploring Main Street! Take a trip through a little town taken straight from 1890's America. Visit the shops, dine at the restaurants- but don't forget you are here on a mission. As an Apprentice, you will need to gather some supplies. A weapon, or tool for producing magic.

But we understand if that corn dog cart on Market Street is your first stop.

II. Apprentice Class 101! Practice your spell casting and weaponship on the open commons behind the Firehouse. Sparring, casting or just general confusion abound here. Try not to hit anything or...anyone, the paint on the infirmary is still drying.

III. Look out! A level 2 corroded monster has managed to get onto Main Street! Protect the citizens and defeat the cur, and please watch the damage, the paint is still wet!

IV. One Little Spark! Go ahead, show us the strength of your imagination and come up with your own scenarios. Just, stay out of the Corroded Lands...if possible.

"You can't just abandon me here! It's not that I don't appreciate the hospitality, it really isn't, but I do have to look for my friends!"

The protests fell on deaf ears as the Doctor was lead to the doorway to the apartment and practically shoved inside. The door creaked as it closed behind him but as he wasn't alone he didn't turn and make an immediate move to leave. He should there rather awkwardly, lacing his fingers together.

"It uhm... It seems we're rather stuck with each other I'm afraid. I'm the Doctor, might I know your name?"

Hearing the commotion in the hallway, Chazz kept his eyes trained on the door. Hopefully whoever it was would quiet it down soon and just keep on walking by his room. That wasn't to be the case though as the door abruptly opened.

Leaving the bed, he stood up and crossed his arms tightly over his chest. Who was this loser? Chazz didn't have long to wait for his answer.

"Great." Answering with one word that was dripping with sarcasm. "I expected someone ...... but I thought it might be someone a little closer to my age range." Totally calling you old, old man.

"The names Chazz Princeton," He waited to see if there was any recognition. Guess this guy wasn't a duel monsters fan either. No one here seemed to be. "Just what are you supposed to be a Doctor of?" This was going to be like rooming with one of the professors from school- aka no fun at all. Does this guy even stay up past 6 pm?

No recognition at all, other than a slight smiling wince at being called an old man... He had heard that before.

"Oh, this and that!"

The Doctor exclaimed cheerily as he strode into the room, running a hand across each bed rail as he passed it. This and that wasn't really a good description for what sort of Doctor he was but that was all Chazz was likely to get.

"I'm relieved to see they aren't bunkbeds at least. Have you been here long?"

"Huh, didn't know you could major in this or that," Not entirely buying it, but not entirely caring either, so Chazz mostly let it slide. For all he knew it was just some nickname, and this guy had no real credentials in anything.

Chazz watched as the Doctor scoped out the room. It didn't take him long since again, this wasn't really a place to write home about.

"Tell me about it," Bunk beds were a very real threat at duelist academy. "Oh, just so you know.... I've got dibs on the dresser and the closet. You can have what's left." .... which was like an ottoman, and a wooden chair that wobbled. "I've been here for a few hours..."

"The dresser and the closet?"

What was left then just this tiny little corner? A ratty old ottoman and a chair? You couldn't store anything in either one of those. The Doctor pouted and laced his fingers together.

"You might have considered leaving something behind for your roommate. Not that I have any bags but unless you were planning on moving out here neither would you."

"Yup, that's the breaks," Chazz replied flippantly then he awaited the response to see if there would be any argument about it.

The corner, the ottoman, a wobbly chair and the second bed. Don't forget the second bed, you could store plenty of stuff- underneath that. Hope you don't have arthritis in your knees. He might be older Chazz but he's not ancient (as far as you know).

"I might have, but I didn't," Flopping back on the bed and placing his hands behind his neck. "So what are you complaining about?" Though said complaints were pretty tame. Chazz didn't foresee a problem. "In time, I'll find something to stick in them."

It was true that the Doctor, this version at least, wasn't much of a fighter and puffing up to give into the growing sense of injustice might only have given this rude little boy a laugh! So he let it go... his bed, his gimpy chair... his ratty old ottoman...

"You have checked it haven't you? The closet? Some times hotels like this leave extra towels, toiletries, blankets and such in closets. We should at least divide those up!"

He hurried over to it and opened the door. Typical of hotels the closet was pitch black but with an overhead light one could turn on by pulling a string. A string the Doctor was just a little too short to reach.

"This is no good. I know!"

He rushed back to collect the chair and placed it just inside the closet.

"I'll hold the chair for you if you will just step up on the seat and pull the light cord? I'd do it myself but... with this chair being so unstable I might fall and you wouldn't want me putting my back out, would you?"
