Character Meet and Greet

Rules | FAQ | Premise | Applications

"You can design and create, and build the most wonderful place in the world. But it takes people to make the dream a reality."

I. Exploring Main Street! Take a trip through a little town taken straight from 1890's America. Visit the shops, dine at the restaurants- but don't forget you are here on a mission. As an Apprentice, you will need to gather some supplies. A weapon, or tool for producing magic.

But we understand if that corn dog cart on Market Street is your first stop.

II. Apprentice Class 101! Practice your spell casting and weaponship on the open commons behind the Firehouse. Sparring, casting or just general confusion abound here. Try not to hit anything or...anyone, the paint on the infirmary is still drying.

III. Look out! A level 2 corroded monster has managed to get onto Main Street! Protect the citizens and defeat the cur, and please watch the damage, the paint is still wet!

IV. One Little Spark! Go ahead, show us the strength of your imagination and come up with your own scenarios. Just, stay out of the Corroded Lands...if possible.

At that, Gwen watches Mal carefully. It's not a malicious look, more one of curiosity and concern. This girl wasn't her. She was aware of that now. It was just a physical resemblance. They were both tough girls, Gwen could see that easily. But Mal's was a different kind of tough.

"You don't have to take my word for it because we just met like...two minutes ago, but I can assure you I'm not the type to actively try to harm people. Unless they were actively trying to harm others, and then it's just trying to subdue them."

She pauses, taking another sip of her soda and shrugging. "There's also the fact that I'm drinking this soda and if I'd done anything to it for the intention of hurting anyone, why would I be touching it?"

"Unless you already drank the antidote or have some other reason it won't affect you. I mean, seriously, food spells are basic villainy for kids level mischief." Not that they had magic on the Isle, but that didn't stop Doctor F. from making sure they all knew their basics. It was why she had thought of the love spell, antidote, and truth serum all being in sweets after all. sugars helped magic along.

"Huh...okay, fair point." One Gwen didn't like too much. She looks at Mal again, eyebrows furrowing in thought. "Your world isn't so great, is it? If you have to worry about poison in your food, I mean."

She rolled her eyes. "I grew up on the Isle of the Lost and leftover." It was a simple fact of life. "The place where all the good guys and heroes and goodie goodie princesses and princes banished all the villains from their perfect little kingdom." She tried to keep her voice bitter rather than bittersweet, and oddly, it worked better than she expected. But then... she had all new reasons to be bitter. Because she had tried. And of all her friends? She was the only one who didn't who didn't fit. Well, who wanted to anyway? For what? A future of princess pink and disappointing everyone? Well that was done, now. "The Isle might not be the best, but you know what? It's mine." Her turf.

All the home she had left.
