"There's a building in one quarter that really looks like it should be haunted, but I can't get to it. Yet." Lydia frowns. "I really want to, because I bet the ghosts are lonely out there all by themselves. At least ... I know my friends would be if they had to haunt a place like that. And the magic is way different, here. The only magic I'd ever seen before this, you had to read it out of the Handbook, and even that ... I wouldn't dare do."

She realizes that the fort game is not quite as interesting as an actual conversation, and settles down, sitting on the ground across from Rose before offering a hand.
