She was crying again. Crowley took a defensive step back not from fear or any desire to avoid her lunging at him again but because he found himself right back in that awkward place he had been in earlier. He could try to comfort her, it is what an angel might do if they were paying attention, or walk away, which he was very much tempted to do as all this was her problem did it really have to be his? Or he could offer a little demonic advice, spread a little discord.
"Who cares if he would be disappointed in you! You ought to be disappointed in him, leaving you behind, making you chase though dimensions just on the off chance this idiot will actually have a plan. Screw him!"
Demonic advice tended to be a little less forgiving than angelic advice.
