I. Main Street Usa!

It's twilight, edging to evening, and yet the streets are still alive with citizens and Apprentices (that means you!) alike. Take the time to admire the lights, pop in and out of the cafes or just relax in the garden.

Weapon shops and magic shops are open late into the evening this time of year, so feel free to enjoy yourself before you equip yourself for the life head.


II. Apprentice Training 101- Evening Class

Same commons behind the fire house, same weapons and wands available for practicing your skills-- though this time under the cozy street lights and the bright blues and tired purples of a fading summer twilight. Strike at the training dummy or try to catch fireflies with whispers, its all up to you.


III. Things that Go Bump

Are bumping. And they mean business. A few level 1 corroded monsters are scurrying around Main Street causing havoc and it's up to you to stop them. The question is, is it early in the evening or do you dare to face the creatures at the night's darkest hour?


IV. It's time to Sparkle!

Everyone has a spark of imagination. That is, in fact, why you're here! It's time to shine with your own scenario! Just try to keep from causing too much trouble.

I. He reached his hands out to steady the woman who had walked into him. "Sorry about that, are you alright?" he asked, unphased by the insult. Between the goblins and the harpies he had been called far worse.

No reaction? Well that's disappointing. She pulled away from him, swallowing down the pain from the movement.

"Of course not. Trapped here in this... cheerful place. Why would I be okay?"

He gave a bit of a chuckle. "Yeah, I'm not from here either," he said, comfortingly. "But if there is anything at all I've learned from my fiancee" he did so love that word these days, "it is that you never know what you might find in a new land, even one so very different than what you're used to."

Oh god she feels sick. There's little worse than an optimistic human.

"Is that so... And what have you found thus far?"

"A world that needs our help, different sort of magic, so far no Night Mares, slowsand or quicksand. But also no book of answers, no bread and butterflies, and apparently I've gotten spoiled by pie trees, as there are none here and it took me a while to figure out what I wanted to eat, given the absence."

"Have you perhaps landed on your head? Because you're not making any sense whatsoever."

Seriously. She'd been all over the universe and even she thought he was speaking nonsense.

He chuckled a bit. "Should I have said a world with no Freshman English, no long lines for broken down busses, and no canned beans?"

[not_so_different]

She shrugged, "Well you do sound a bit more human when you say that." Curious, she tilted her head at him, "Where are you from?"

"Originally middle of nowhere Mundania. I've recently immigrated, however. Guessing your world is more like Mundania than Xanth."

[not_so_different]

She raised ah eyebrow. Fascinating. "I've never heard of either of those places so I couldn't really say."

"If it helps, most people call Mundania Earth. Or E(A/R)^th, depending on who is asking, I suppose."
