I. Main Street Usa!

It's twilight, edging to evening, and yet the streets are still alive with citizens and Apprentices (that means you!) alike. Take the time to admire the lights, pop in and out of the cafes or just relax in the garden.

Weapon shops and magic shops are open late into the evening this time of year, so feel free to enjoy yourself before you equip yourself for the life head.


II. Apprentice Training 101- Evening Class

Same commons behind the fire house, same weapons and wands available for practicing your skills-- though this time under the cozy street lights and the bright blues and tired purples of a fading summer twilight. Strike at the training dummy or try to catch fireflies with whispers, its all up to you.


III. Things that Go Bump

Are bumping. And they mean business. A few level 1 corroded monsters are scurrying around Main Street causing havoc and it's up to you to stop them. The question is, is it early in the evening or do you dare to face the creatures at the night's darkest hour?


IV. It's time to Sparkle!

Everyone has a spark of imagination. That is, in fact, why you're here! It's time to shine with your own scenario! Just try to keep from causing too much trouble.

Apprentice Training

Atem made a quick mental note not to ever stand in the way of the youthful sharpshooter. That firearm looked as if it should have more kickback to it than her shoulder should have been able to handle but she was managing it just fine. Of course, that did make one wonder why the blond had ever needed to acquire these skills before her arrival here.

There was no masking his shock as he looked from the dummy back towards her when she posed that question. "Stronger...... than ... this?" The dummy, were it a living being hadn't stood a chance, and she was wanting something more effective?

Also, at his side was just a sword- which could be strengthened by the power of the mind and heart as he'd been told... but in comparison was looking less practical at this stage of it's development.

Mami flashed her companion a small smile. A swordfighter...ah, she'd heard the stories about those. A popular weapon choice for a magical girl.

"Well, yes. I've heard our foes will keep growing stronger if we don't keep them in check, and I want to be prepared. I can't let anyone else fall to the darkness."

Her gentle countenance was a stark contrast to her weapon of choice. Atem attempted to mirror her expression but he was still a little distracted by what he'd just witnessed. The sword historically was a popular choice for a myriad of individuals and eras.

"Well, no one can fault you for being prudent." Pausing a moment he searched for something more to say.

"So...... I guess you have prior experience with your weapon?" He wouldn't get answers for any of his questions without exploring the subject directly with her.

"Mm. I was...something of a chosen warrior at home, fighting monsters with magic."

It wouldn't hurt to explain in the vaguest terms, right? She no longer had those powers (and that worried her a lot) and it wasn't as if any of them would be going back to Mitakihara with her.

"I used ribbons to bind them when I first started out, but they weren't strong enough to stop the bigger monsters. So I learned how to mold my ribbons into rifles like these."

She gave her companion another curious once-over. "Did you learn the blade too?"

Atem was swiftly learning that he would have to look past appearances. It's not as if Kuriboh looked all that formidable to those that didn't know it's true power. Composing himself he nodded to her statement. "I see. Then it would appear that this kingdom is lucky to have you on board." There would still be much for her to learn about the way magic operated here, but the sum of her experiences should make it easier for her to engage in combat, and not shy away from opposition like the uninitiated.

No, it shouldn't hurt at all- especially not to this person specifically. He had nothing to gain from this knowledge nor was he finding the use of magic so outlandish.

"It..... also sounds as if you've already had to incorporate imagination into forming your abilities, so you may very well be a step ahead of many of us." He complimented her.

"Yes- though admittedly I didn't have to use it all that often." At least he did know how to use it but most of the greatest challenges he faced involved using monsters to take the brunt of altercations whether it be from stone tablets or brightly colored cards.
