serpentinthegarden: (Lurking)

Crowley answered in an entirely unrepentant errant demon voice.

"I was waiting for the movie."

Which he usually did! Aziraphale loved books, could read them for hours or even days at a time without breaks, but Crowley got bored after a line or two. It didn't matter which book or which subject it was based on. J. K. Rowling was as tedious as the Marquis de Sade and just as quickly set aside.

He had skimmed the manual, but actually read it? Never was an option.

As the ground neared Crowley's wings fanned lightly as if their unpracticed motions would have given him any kind of lift at all if they suddenly dropped to the ground too quickly. He felt more secure once his feet actually touched the Earth then it became a struggle not to beam brighter than the sun. They flew! Actually flew! In the air!

"Yeah, less crowded..."

He shuffled away, still fighting the urge to shout that they ought to do that again.

"Guess I should... thank you? For the lift."
