She rolled her eyes at him. Her hand held the neck of her umbrella, right above the (currently) upside down intricately carved parrot head. Did that parrot just roll its eyes as well? Must be a trick of the firelight. She looked perfectly calm as she surveyed the land below. It certainly seemed as if she'd traveled this way before. It was achieved using slightly different means, of course, but the end result was the same. She expertly guided them away from the creatures and the fire still burning below, looking for a safe place to land. Thankfully, the creatures were too preoccupied with the fire to even notice they'd gone. Not trusting the magic to take them all the way back to town, Mary instead found a clear area devoid of corroded and began their descent.
"Here we are, then. This seems a bit less crowded, don't you think?"
Her feet gently touched the ground and she smiled at the stranger, releasing him so she could close her umbrella once again.
