Like one of those classic old cartoons, Crowley's head slowly inclined to look up as the massive creature rose up out of the tablecloth. It was a wonder it could fit under there! And how did the bubble not pop?

"Must be some singer, something like Cecilia Bartoli."

A famous female opera star whose voice, he had once been told, was to die for. Sounded like the same thing. Maybe the lantern lady was a soprano.

"A demon, keeper of temptations... currently between things. Why were you hiding under the table?"
