Richie's just finished up a shift busking in front of the Penny Arcade, telling jokes and testing his new material on the patrons as they wander home with their arms full of cheap prizes from the token counter. One of them had gifted him with a cheap plastic ring and he'd tucked it into the open buttonhole at the collar of his dress shirt. When she spoke up, he turned and grinned.
